How can you tell if you are suffering from gambling addiction?

I just want to ask how would you know if a person is suffering from gambling addiction. Can you guys tell me the signs of it?

It's easy to spot if a person is already an addicted gambler. Based on what I've noticed or my *study* people who are suffering from gambling addiction has this;
1. Uncontrollable thirst for Gambling - People that are addicted to Gambling to tend to think and look for any kind of Gambling to satisfy their self. An addict's day isn't complete without them playing any kind of Gambling with or w/o money.
2. Sudden Change of Attitude - Most of the addict gamblers tend to get mad easily, they began to be moody. *Knowing that he's already into gambling*
3. Mannerism (Coin Flipping, Coin shuffling and etc.) - Most of the Gambler tend to adapt to a mannerism in which they are doing it outside the casino. They don't notice it and It's a normal thing to them.
4. To the point that they sold everything just to gamble - Well, this is not new to us. An addicted gambler could do such things, like selling their house, cars, any valuable things even wife and kids, just to have money for gambling. This I think is the worst point of an addicted gambler.

Well I know there are still a lot of signs to know if a person is already addicted to gambling. Though, this is just what I've noticed so far.

I think if one person suffering from gambling addiction he is so greedy, he is unsatisfied and uncontented. He loves money more than anything else, he takes more time on gambling and he never live a day without any cards or dice in he's hands.

You can easily assess yourself by scrutinizing your gambling bankroll pattern and you'll know whether you are making sense with the our spending on gambling, secondly you should ask yourself if you're able to easily quit or start a gambling without any second thoughts because that indicates how you're in control of yourself and hence not an addicted gambler.

this is what happen to most of the people who always saying that they are just enjoying that's why they frequently gamble thinking that they are just
seeing this activity to have some past time but in reality they are already aiming to win either ways trying to recover or trying to hit a jackpot without
knowing that they are already engage and got addicted.

My friend used to say "Gambling is a self-correcting condition".

What he meant was that when you lose you can't gamble any
more. This obviously doesn't take into account people borrowing
from questionable characters or 'payday loan' type setups, but
again, thewse could be considered to be self-correcting. If you
don't pay them back you get your legs broken, or worse.

Me, I only gamble what I can afford to lose, but I wasn't always
this way. I guess the best way to tell if you have an addiction is
if your life is negatively impacted by your urge to place wagers.

The sense of stress and can not get away from gambling sites is a sign that we have been suffering from gambling diseases. Every day we do not want to stop to play.

It is not that hard to tell people are addicted or not, if the gambler gamble everyday and dont really care about the losing money and willing to sacrifice and used all of his wealth for gambling then that person is addicted to gambling

If someone is a gambling addict, he will probably show these signs:
1-They will lie
2-Try to chase their losses
3-Borrow Money
4-Always betting more
5-Obsessed with gambling
6-Want to stop but can't
7-Betting out of need
8-Gambling to gain relief
9-Commit stealing etc
They should be less mean and think about their families.

Maybe by playing too much in gambling and you can't avoid to play even a day i remembered the times that im that addict at gamblings where even i don't have enough money to gamble i always play gambling as if even my money are always came from faucet i don't know the real reason why but i realize that being addicted in gambling may cause us trouble in our life.

- You will spend too much time.
- You will spend your most of the earned money into gambling.
- You will not stop no matter if you lose.
- You will bet high and high till you lose.
- You don't care about your bankroll if you lose your all money.

Then you will realize that you should stop gambling.

- Then after when you get some money you start betting again.

You can't say that he facing some trouble in his mind well those gambler who actually depending on gambling are thinking too much on how they can earn money easily and i know there are aware for the risk that they will face tho even it is the biggest risk of their lives as long as they will earn money will play and play the majority of being addicted is when you lose and being chase of it.

They would really wreck down their lives if they would just let this sever addiction would control them until the end. It will really eat you up until you dont have anymore money to spent from your pocket. This kind of thing is just common on gambling world on where there are really people on which their addiction is already severe where comes to a point that they are not on the right mindset or thinking anymore on the things that they must do.

I think its all in the chase. When people start to worry about their loses and want to chase them that's where the problem begins. They do not focus on work or anything only on their loses and getting them back. Using money from anywhere they can find and and putting it all in desperation each time telling themselves this is the last time but it never is. That is what addiction is.

I think thats not the main reason why people triggered to become addicted at the first time they gamble. Because if they already lose in the beginning of their gambling experience then why they coming back if they lose? I think they will just discourage. But if they win for the first time and enjoy the profit money then suddenly lose. That will be the start of gambling addiction. Addiction starts of something you feel satisfied is slowly fading away from you that's why you keep on catching just to feel satisfied again.

If someone tries to give up on gambling but fail to do so and keep making plans in his mind about the next bet, then he is suffering from gambling addiction. It will keep running on his mind 24/7. He will go for it even after he is aware of his losses and knows the consequences of his action.

And in gamblers, they can't live a single without gambling or visiting a casino or trying it with themselves. Their money is already allocated ONLY to gamble and no other purposes in their lives, so if you are person like this, you know now that you are addicted.
