Pool round variance over 300%

Can anything other than bad luck cause the round variance to go over 300%?

If parity is running fine and get new works, no.

+300% blocks are normal... already hit some with 600+...

Actually got through the block last night at around 344% variance. Cracked off another one at 10% variance.  I guess that's just how it goes :-)
