I have researched a couple altcoin possibilities already, but, wanted to ask those on here, who have the experience, on their opinions with IOTA, ripple or any smaller altcoins/ICOs to get into?

Ripple has good future but it will take years to pump to good value.you can invest in NEM or ethereum both are growing at good pace,better go for ethereum as ethereum based project is increasing thus affecting the network usage.its price can hit 1k$ in upcoming years.

Isnt Ripple backed by Banks or Financial institutions?

We have spent 2 years of test marketing in Asian countries to research people's awareness and interest in this industry.
What we figured, is that there are different types of people who are interested:
1. people seeking for investment opportunity
2. people who really sees future in the industry
3. people who are really in need (for low transaction fees etc.)

The first step is to understand why you are curious or interested in this industry isn't it?
If for investment, then of course you should seek for whatever tokens that have potential in growing.
But then it is also important to learn how economy circulates in this world.
Although Bitcoin for example is decentralized, it is important to know who owns them the most or who are in power at this stage.
XRP is operated by Ripple, which means of course they are the controller of the game.

As crypto and blockchain industry is well paid attention to now, many of them seems to be making great price increase, but we should all know that in order to be really widely spread (create larger demand), the controllers have to release more, which will first result in fall of the price. But then after overcoming that, there will be another and even bigger chances again, because that will be the time when the whole world admits crypto and our concept of money will change.

both ripple and iota has hundreds times of profits, i dont think they have many potential yet, for me, i keep some OMG and btc, then all in ICO

I think you are correct but you must understand that for a lot of people that information is irrelevant the only thing they want is to get profits and when that is the only thing you can think about then Ripple seems like a good coin for those that are looking for profits.

I have invested both in Ripple and IOTA a few days backand trust me its not meant for short term. These are coins are a better investment for a long term of atleast 2 years.
I bought ripple when it was 0.000099btc and sold it at when it came down to 0.00008. I bought it again at 0.000076 thinking that its a dip and it will rise now but it was continuously going down and then i had to sell it at 0.000036. So Ripple was just a coin of loss for me. But i do think that it will rise in future.

I think altcoins are a great investment if you do your research. I saw some chart saying that alts like NEO were the highest growth cryptos in 2017. If you believe in ETH, then you should believe in NEO.

IOTA and ripple are good coins but I would suggest you to start investing into new ICO’s such as omisgo (OMG coin) and social coins (SCL) which are at the lowest prices. There is high possibility that these coins will reach as high as $50 and thats just 10-15 times more value than their current rate. SCL is having its second day on the pre-sale of ICO and they have already raised half million dollars. Now thats how you study the ICO, this is the kinda money which tells you how successful it is going to be in the future. OMG coin is already in exchanger and valued to 6-7 dollars. It will grow to 10 times as the ICO has been successful and we are already waiting for the high prices.

Well according to you small investment right? Better to go with ICO like what I've got from my signature campaign as it has a great results after being list inside the exchange site x3 or more will happen just look how the project runs but anyhow its up to you to decide with xrp and iota a lots of speculation is around lately.

I have made $100,000 the last month on a couple ICO' s. the next one I'm investing BIG in is iMPERIUM. MPRM coin is going to be big. They're going after a 400 billion dollar market and i think they will get it. They will be trading on poloniex and bittrex by the end of the year (http://imperium.network)

It looks you haven't made anything rather than try to promoting your coin to another people to buy the imperium coin. And you have made a pretty ridiculous joke about 400 billion market capitalization and it will never be added on the polo or bittrexm you try to fool the newbie.

I understand that one must look into Team, whitepaper, product if any or product strategy at least before investing into an ICO. My basic question is how important or relevant is Escrow?

As I understand it one cannot have a traditional Escrow as we know it therefore should one take ICO's who dont have Escrow seriously?

Ripple or IOTA's market cap is too high, to make x2 they need a lot of money, if you have few money, you should look at page 2-3 on coinmarketcap.

I could say dimcoin Ico is having high potentiality of return and also skin coin is very cheap based on its potentiality . Even you can invest in lbtc (litebitcoin) current value is very low in last 2 months it pumped 5x two times.

Aventus is one of the best ICOs currently I suggest you to look at it. DON'T look at it as quick profit but think it as great new project.
