Yes, I think IOTA is a good coin, you can find the statistics. IOTA is also included in the coin discussed by many people in this forum. Maybe IOTA is a very good coin.

Being relatively new to cryptocurrency in general, I am looking to begin investment in something a little smaller. I have researched a couple altcoin possibilities already, but, wanted to ask those on here, who have the experience, on their opinions with IOTA, ripple or any smaller altcoins/ICOs to get into?
both ripple and iota has hundreds times of profits, i dont think they have many potential yet, for me, i keep some OMG and btc, then all in ICO
True, those coins already pumped, they may have something left in them but the earnings are going to be low and the risk is going to be high it is better to spend our time trying to find the next big thing instead of trying to make coins that already pumped to pump even harder.

Does anyone has some update/recommendation(s) on Asian crypto projects I personally would like to get grater exposer towards   Asian markets. My issue is I learn about the projects too late to buy, or exchanges trading the particular currencies are local and not easily accessible (example: language barrier or registration)

An ICO (Initial Coin Offering) before launching of altcoin create funds and the investors make purchase and then sell after launching at high price so it is best in term of investment
Altcoin are already launched coins that are available at different prices at exchanges for trading which make trade at same time buy and sell.

just try to follow ico because I think is more significant to be able to compete with some other projects whereas dialtcoin requires extensive knowledge in order to produce a maximum ico and later widely accepted by the public.

We have spent 2 years of test marketing in Asian countries to research people's awareness and interest in this industry.
What we figured, is that there are different types of people who are interested:
1. people seeking for investment opportunity
2. people who really sees future in the industry
3. people who are really in need (for low transaction fees etc.)

Thanks for great insights !

I’m not aware of any website that particularly only watches Asian projects, do you have a reason to do this? Anyway there are websites that keep track of every ICO, the ones already running and the ones that are coming, find those websites and then read about the project and if you like it you can invest in it.

Ripple or IOTA's market cap is too high, to make x2 they need a lot of money, if you have few money, you should look at page 2-3 on coinmarketcap.

That would be a valid statement if there would be any economic model which could help us to assess the fundamental value of altcoin. What the problem is with altcoins at page 2 - 3 on coinmarketcap is low liquidity so It can get pretty nasty if you want to get out. Low liquidity and guessing work about which one will make 50% tomorrow it same like a lotto you hope for big win. Some lo level coins will win extremely big  but how to find out those 80 out 800 altcoins. On another side up until the dumb money flows in crypto the top 50 market coins will grow no matter of underlying earning potential. Nobody relay knows what is earning potential of any crypto project i.e. ICO.

I would suggest you to invest into ripple and waves on priority basis because there are huge chances that they will explode in few months.

Never take any investment for granted and hoping that they will give you returns on the second day only. If you want invest then it has to be for long period of time and patience is the key for success.

No matter what but waves will payback every dime of investment that you do today. I'm following the updates continually and it looks just stable to me.

Yeah no matter what how big the market cap is but if you think you have less investment then always buy those coins which has the potential to go up and capture the capatilism. This can be decided by the volume of trades for that particular coin in daily basis as well as how it is doing with its intended project as discussed in ICO white paper. Many people forget about the roadmap and if the developments are going on according to it then understand this, it will rise in the trade volume as well as price too.

So just sticking to iota or ripple would be useless if there are other markets too. :-) just saying,

From smaller ones - Ahoolee (running ICO atm) -  http://ahoolee.io

And also have a look at Crowdholding (running Pre-sale ICO) - http://ico.crowdholding.com

it is very appropriate if you want to invest in 2 coins.

As you say, you can invest in those 2 coins, I think it will be good for the next few years.

especially I prefer IOTA, this will be an exciting development, I follow the development of IOTA every time.

Ripple is good.it has more time profit. it has good future.
Ripple is token platform has pumped to very high price in past time, today it has comeback to real value and stand still that price. However, in recent Ripple has comeback and create a signal bearish trend of it has ended, now is good time for buy Ripple.

I cannot make sure you are allotting a huge capital investment for altcoins but I know IOTA and Ripple are good choices. If you want to invest more on altcoins that are cheap, you can also add Status, Verge, Digibyte in your investment. Try to wait for Dent also, I am waiting for it as well to be accepted in major exchanges to buy some and hold.
