What are your thoughts on this? Will you sell bitcoins because some of the "financial" "Stocks" "experts" says that Bitcoin will just lead on collapse and nowadays bitcoin has been linked to tulip mania? OR do you think this is just a strategy for them to lower the amount of bitcoin so that they can buy bitcoin on lower amount?

I'd love to see these guys reactions a few years from now... Bitcoin is growing steadly along with many other icons popping off left and right. And even if it eventually fails, there'll be another coin in place to keep the cryptocurrency ideal going forward, no doubt about it in my mind.

You guys should read about past bubbles. If you did, you'd realize the words and behaviors we're seeing are very, very much bubble matrtial.

Read about the South Sea bubble.  Look at the ridiculous business plans they were coming up with.  Vety similar to these ICOs and altcoins.  Don't dismiss this criticism so readily.

This has been the refrain since at least July 2010 when slashdot first covered bitcoins.  Different year, different "journalist" same tired old stories.

All the while one could have made 5000-50000 times ones money if one mined (or bought) and held.

The latter sounds more true to me. These are basically strategies of those people who are kind of late into buying more Bitcoin for profits. I think this will not be effective considering that there are already millions who are into bitcoin including rich personalities and businessmen.

Right, they're bulls wearing disguises.  Think about it: Wouldyou, as a journalist,  write an article slamming bitcoin so you could buy in at a lower price?   Not a strategy you'd employ,  nor would it be effective.

That's what i really thought, imagine when bitcoin hit $100 they also stated that this is tulip bubble mania effect until it hit $500 and to $1000, maybe they are just too late on buying, manipulating media to manipulate people to sell their bitcoins, i just hope this will not affect the effect the price of bitcoin.

I absolutely think we're in a bubble with respect to btc. I don't think it will crash never to recover (because i very much believe in the long term value of btc) but there will be a big correction relatively soon (obviously the question is when).

Some of us are old enough to remember the crazy mania before the tech bubble burst in 2000 and the crazy mania and people swearing house prices would never go down (before the house prices crashed spectacularly in 2008).

I would bet all my bitcoins and other coins I own, heck I'd even bet my new car, that there's no journalist conspiracy to bring down the price of bitcoin.  Roll Eyes

A large number of journalists write articles for money. I don't believe them. Maybe you are right that bitcoin is a bubble, but we all know that the dollar is too bubble. Who you gonna tell now when you burst the dollar? Up to this point all use. The same will happen with bitcoin. Now the price is growing and there is no reason that bitcoin will burst.

cointelegraph is one of those shitposters that publishes these types of crap articles from time to time, mostly fro clickbait. and their timing is interesting too. they didn't dare publish such a thing last week when the price was rising $100 at a time. they do it when the price is at an ATH, slowed down and had a little correction. one can even assume they are shorting bitcoin at the moment Wink

and to answer your question, no i am not going to sell bitcoin just some random dude (so called experts) said some stuff. the same way that i won't buy bitcoin just some other random dude said some other stuff.
i make my own decisions and live with the consequenses. and so far the consequenses have been a huge profit!

i don't think that everyone who is talking against bitcoin, specially a journalist, is trying to buy bitcoin at lower prices.

this is just a "hot story" for the journalist, nothing more. it brings them more publicity and as they call it a "click bait". right now the price is very high and the chances of a correction is high enough. writing such articles is good timing since people are also looking for such things no matter how right or wrong it is.

This sensationalist clickbait article doesn't compare cryptomarket with dotcom bubble for example, they literally called Bitcoin's market "tulip mania". Which is obviously wrong, because Bitcoin is a solid, working technology, that has been around for 8 years and used by millions of people. As for ICO's and alts, they are probably in bubble, because they are essentially credits - developers sell promises to investors, with no guarantees that they can or will deliver them. Even if alts bubble will burst, it won't affect Bitcoin significantly.

A publicity stunt to it's finest, well ever wonder why some people are doing this kind of article and I think it is leading other people that are only starting bitcoin to intentionally sell their bitcoin so people like this would just buy in a small price but I think many are spreading this kind of Fear Uncertainty and Doubt and they will surely make people cower and sell their bitcoin out of fear.

I don't believe in any of the so called forex experts, specialist because they just don't know shit about crypto currency market. Forex market is completely different than crypto market so no any strategy that might work in forex will work on crypto trading.

Many new investors are buying bitcoin right now which have created a huge bull run and this might continue for next few years so I am expecting atleast 10x price by 2021.

Bitcoin is a limited supply, you can grow more tulips.

Exactly.  What is more is that you can dig up more gold, you can make more metals, more commodities, more of anything of value,... except Bitcoin.  You will NEVER be able to produce more than a very limited pre determined number of bitcoin (21 million), and as such it is not only immune from inflation, it's scarcity along with the increasing number of lost bitcoins compounds the situation, it will make it an ever INCREASING value asset, unlike almost anything else in the universe.  The only thing that can go wrong for Bitcoin is if this characteristic can be in some way a negative, and I am struggling to see how that could happen.

Theoretically, there could be a trillion dollar bitcoin some day.  As a matter of fact, given the nature of fiat money and Bitcoin, it is only a factor of time.

Bitcoin has been stated to be the next tulip bulb thingy since the price was moving far, far below the $1000 mark ~ I don't take any of these news articles seriously.

I think it mainly comes from the fact that people aren't totally understanding why Bitcoin has value in the first place ~ which makes me find them very uneducated, or short sighted at the very least.

I am quite sure that when we have broken through the $10,000 mark, and later through the $20,000 mark, the same tulip bulb comparisons will be popping up from time to time.

Best is to ignore all this non information. If the value keeps increasing, which means the overall demand is increasing, and news articles like these are still popping up, it just shows that some people will never understand it.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Yeah yeah yeah, every bubble starts with "it's different this time!".  I'm not saying I hope bitcoin is going to crash, but this whole thing walks, talks, and smells like a bubble to me.  I don't argue about the quality or motivations of journalists.  That whole business reeks of corruption and incompetence.
