I recently attempted to open up my bitcoin core wallet to see how much uBTC I had (after viewing the extremely high BTC price), and after it loaded, it stuck to the taskbar and only showed as a white screen in the program preview. It does not open via the taskmanager, or any other way that I tried it. Please help, I have a decent bit of money stuck in a limbo of sorts and I'd really like to get it back. Huh

Has it loaded before. Is it the most recent version of the wallet.

Can you post the operating system that you're using and the debug.log (try searching for this it should be there). Do you get the first loading sceen that then loads a blank app?

If it's windows, it's probably a general window opening issue, just move the exe file and try it again.
If it's linux, make sure all the dependencies are installed - including optional ones.

Restart the computer clean, or even in safe mode (F6 on windows loading) then try again.

Update us with your findings.

Yes it has loaded previously, and it is the latest version. I am on Windows 8.1

It looks like it got to very close to being fully synced but then stopped working due to some sort of interrupt.
If it did, could you try running it with the -reindex command and see if that does anything to help it load.

BEFORE DOING THIS: Try loading it in safe mode and see if that helps (use safemode with networking) using F6 on startup.

I'm honestly stumped on how to do either of the things you listed, could you please post some steps? It would be much appreciated, as I'm not the most savvy at using cmd.

To boot in safe mode:
Turn on your computer and immediately hit F6 (when your computer loads up normally, you generally get a splash screen of your brand of your computer and then a "starting windows" page - or a loading circle for newer versions. Before the loading windows screen comes up, this is the point you wnat to hit F6 to boot in safe mode. Alternatively, (for windows 7 and below) turn off your computer with the POWER button while it's just loaded -best for not losing data, but this method is not recommended - then load it back up and it should give you a few options.
Once after one of those steps, hit "safe mode with networking" with the arrow keys.

Then it'll load and try to boot bitcoin core after that stage.
I'll gie you the other step if this one fails to work, but it hopefully will.

Make sure you didn't run out of hard drive space while syncing. The files are huge these days and we experienced a similar issue.

If this is the issue and you have nowhere else to put the blockchain in its entirety, use the -prune=4000 command to reduce the amount of data needed to store (that'll store 4GB only of the blockchain - it still needs to sync fully though).
