I wanna to launch an ICO to set up a company devoted to creating gene modified aquarium fish.
I am a phD on spine surgery that have spent 5 years doing fundamental research on gene-knockout mice. I am skilled at creating gene modified zebrafish, and mice by using CRISPR/CAS9 or TALEN.
I am also a super fan of aquarium fish that I have a lot betta fish at home. However in my view, that many aquarium fish can be modified into new shape or new color pattern that can be more commercial value in market. The market of aquarium fish is tremendous, that every breeders of dragonfish, KOI carp Stingray get a lot profits from it. The GDP of the biggest aquarium fish market Huadiwan in Guangzhou is nearly 50 billion per year.
And with the most popular gene modified technology CRISPR/CAS9, I can make several gene modified betta fish which has different color, color pattern, stripe patterns, different size and shape of fins.
I have set up every thing ready, that including facility for egg microinjection, breeding, plasmids for gene knockout and knockin, in vitro transcription kit, the primers, the RNA sample for sequncing and the lab. The project plan is carefully organized
I can generate those gene modified zebrafish, but I want to build up a company that unique and largest in gene modified aquarium fish area. As far as I know, there is no such company right now.
But I have heard that BGI have a team for generating KOI carp, which devoted in improving the color of it.
About time line:
I can releasing 10 types of zebrafish in 3 months. (different color patterns, and stripe patterns, and length of fins.)
We can releaing new types of betta fish in 6 months.
If we can, we wanna to set up a fish breeding factory in 12 months.
About my research team, background and achivements:
I publish my work on Nature communications in 2016.
And there are 4 people in my research team that publish totally 2 papers in Nature communications, 1 papers in plos genetics,3 papers in Blood these years.
We have two grants from NSFC, China.(Cannot be used in this project)
Money we need:
We need to generate more kinds of fish, which not limited to zebrafish or betta fish.
We need to build up a fish breeding factory to generating gene modified fish in large scale.
Concerns about gene hazards
Usually, aquarium fish won’t escape into the wild. And the gene modified fish can only generated in my lab and my factory, since we will introduce a controllable element into genome, that only by adding tamoxifen or other drugs it can grow into gene knockout or knockin fish.

I have seen a lot scam ICOs in this BBS, and I am a specialist on generating gene-modified fish, and I really wanna to build up a unicorn company that change the world!!!
