You can do mining with CPU or VGA that you have. Some coins such as eth can be mined through vga, but you will only make a small profit if you use such a normal computer specification. You should install some vga so that the resulting hashrates can be large. You will only be spending huge electricity, but the use of the mining process will make your computer can not be used normally due to the severity of the mining process. You will only regret it, so use special hardware that is used for mining only. Do not use an ordinary computer because the results will be useless without any significant benefits.

This model is good for mining both ether and zcash. The gtx 1050 comes with 15 MH/s of hashing power which can mine ether easily but if course the profits come after energy consumption. You total consumption for this model is around 55 watts if you run it over lock. There are good results on nicehash for this gpu if it comes to zcash mining.

You will need months to gain the profits or ROI if you have affordable electricity.

Yes you can. But you can't mine Bitcoin with it, or with any computer for that matter.
You can mine Ethereum and Zcash with relatively good earnings but your only problem would be power consumption, unless you don't care about it and want to mine for fun, then go for it.

So if I do mining with such PC specs, it's hard to profit?
So what specifications are needed to make a good profit, and fast ROI ? Grin

From WhatToMine calculation, you'll get about $1.05 per day.
You need several more GPUs, I recommend you to build new mining rigs with GTX 1060 GPUs.

i think the best thing to do is to mine when you are using your pc but you are not using gpu so much, like when you surf the net or maybe watch a movie.

$1.05 per day and mining done for 24 hours?
So, How many GPUs are needed to make a good profit?
and will the more GPUs make the ROI faster?

About 10 GTX 1060 you make 237mhs to 270mhs.

The mining difficulty multiplies every month! I think to recover the investment gets difficult and it's not lucrative.

Every PC can mine assuming you have a respectable PSU, The graphics card however in most cases is important as well because that will be the component you will most likely mine with.
You can calculate your profits or losses on this site: https://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency
I'd suggest you try zcash first then Ethereum, if you get fed up with all this information you have to search just ask here or use nicehash, it calculates the most profitable coin to mine.

Check whattomine.com - usually people mine Zcash with nVidia or just go with Nicehash cause its easier and returns in BTC which most people want cause they just sell their Zcash and buy what they want.

A GTX 1050 Ti could give you around 14MH/s depending on the overclock. If you undervolt it with Afterburner it should only use about 50-60W power.
You could also use something like Claymore CPU miner to mine Monero at the same time using your I5 CPU.

GTX1060's are very good at the moment with Cost and MH/Watt power efficiency.
Undervolted they achieve a descent 24MH/s using only about 80-85W.
I am running 6 x GTX1060 6G in a rig using a Corsair 1000W Gold PSU and the whole rig uses about 620W measured from the Wall. Very efficient and makes descent amount of ETH.

With 10 GTX 1060 how long take ROI ?
Yes, I've heard if more and more people do mining, it will be more difficult for a block to be solved. Right ?
So does this mean more people are doing mining, will it make the ROI longer?

i would agree, My AV dosent even allow me to enter the site, it auto blocks it Cheesy   definitally some shady shit there haha

Omg people why would you suggest 1060's?  you build a rig with 10, then what? Sad even 10 makes like 400$ a month, you will just end up buying more rigs more cards to actually MAKE money :/
Buy 1080ti, eat the cost off the bat, go long, and only need 2 or 3 rigs to make a few 1000 a month Cheesy

~Got this girl in my bed, a roof over my head, i mint a couple coins a week, and thats how i make bread~

Cool, so with 2 or 3 GTX 1080Ti i can make $1000 a month ? Shocked
I see in Amazon the price of GTX 1080Ti is $1500 x 3 = $4500
so, i need 4.5 month for ROI
That's great Grin

I have a similar pc, with 4770k , 1060 6gb..16 gb Ram etc.. I tried to calculate estd. income on mining in calculator (nicehash) and it is only like 2$ per day (GPU+CPU). I don't think it is worth the time + effort + electricity, IMO.

sad to hear, $2 per day, and i think electricity costs more than $2 per day. It's a waste of time and money Grin lol
Well, i want start mining and i'll build new rig Cool

Yes right. I think your PC specification is enough to do the mining, I see it from the motherboard specifications you have very supportive to play this game is perfect for mining, as well as the VGA you have is one of the best VGA at the moment, and supported with RAM 16GB "All very supportives for your mining".
Good luck and success friends.

You can use your CPU to mine the Monero if it has AES_NI.
