To the OP this time. If you do come to Europe to live, don't bitch about the extortionate petrol (gas) prices. Here it is probably 5x as much to fill your tank. Simple economics. Europeans don't invade defenseless nations on false pretenses so we can rape them of their natural oil. No, we just buy it from them at market prices. Spain is a really good place to live, the problem is that now the economy is fucked and the prices of houses and terrains are still too high.

Maybe Thailand is a good option for you, it's secure, cheap, nice weather

LOL. You mean Asia - the south east Asia countries like Singapore and Malaysia is getting increasingly expensive to live in. A small (<2000 sq. ft) landed property in Penang, Malaysia for example would cost you upwards of $300k... Singapore is even worse in this regard.

Thailand is still very cheap if you're willing to live away from the bigger cities. Minor problem is that farangs can't own the land, but there's ways to deal with this.
Cambodia, Laos and probably some other countries around are even cheaper.
