According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I remember a story about a taxi driver who was accepting bitcoin as payment, but I think he got fired because his boss didn't know about it or something. Pretty cool, though!

i think that  taxi driver  was  from  Germany . i hope  he  got  to buy a taxi  of his  own like  he  said he  would. but  that was  quite a long time back.
