Monero of course will rise 100x-1000x.  A mass used cryptocurrency should and must first of all be anonymous. Otherwise it is a state, corporate or small group of people scam or market/people control technique.

It would surpass BTC if so, I doubt it

True, monero is a solid coin and it is a good investment for anyone interested in crypto but monero has some issues the most important is that it does not scale, if you think bitcoin has scaling problems then monero makes bitcoin look like a spaceship against a car, monero is a niche coin only for those that their primary focus is on anonymity.

But if you want true scaling then you would have to go for an offchain layer.  Blockchains simply do not scale.  I think I heard Fluffypony say in one of the Bitcoin conferences that it's in their plans to have an offchain layer for Monero. 

It does not surprise me, that was basically the decision it was taken on bitcoin with segwit and with the lightning network so I think it is only natural that monero follows the same path, however it seems weird to me, I understand why a coin like bitcoin needs to scale since we are trying to get a good portion of the population using bitcoin, but monero is always going to be a niche coin.

Look at the team of advisors - lead by Charlie Shrem. It is obvious this is a big one.

They are using machine learning/AI + human prediction technology to help manage assets and make start decisions. This is a project to watch.

and for 100x, except in some very rare circumstances, you need at least 12-18 months..

The above period is period of holding..if you can ride the waves well, sell at peaks and catch the dips.. you can shorten the time for 100x to 8-12 months..
But of course, the majority of coins won't go even 5x in one year.

I think you may want to give a hard look at WTC, Waltonchain. Just came out and it's being touted by some as the next NEO in terms of growth. While that remains to be seen of course, it is an impressive group and they are underway. Business was started in 2013 and I love the teams that brings more to the dance than a whitepaper. Looks like an all star lineup as well. Tough for me to get info from China but consensus is saying that this might move in a hurry. Thus far it has.

I think Medcredits (MEDX) is best healthcare project. Upcoming ICO. Smart devs are doctors from best medical university in US. They combine blockchain with telemedicine. All of those coins are trying to do something that is very exotic and that at the end is not going to work, we need to concentrate into something that crypto can perform flawlessly and that they can do better than traditional currencies, I do not think we have any need at the moment for cryptos related to medicine, look at patientory, PTOY pumped and then dumped.

Having the patient file on the chain is a great example of how to use blockchain for healthcare.
Hospitals spend a lot of time re-creating patient's personal files, based on the patient's declaration, and generally this TIME is not invoiced (expesially for the st free consultation).
Being able to rely on a system that transfers an immutable patient file on the chain is a huge business opportunity for the healthcare industry.
And it's even bigger if you include insurances and credit-validation solutions on it.
