I also like the MTH project as it's an easy way to get crypto usage to any merchant,  if that takes off it will easily hit 100x in a matter of months

if you want such a return you will have to look for coins not on the top 100, maybe not even on the top 200x.. to get a 1k % return you'll need to join some ICO's

Exactly. The question is which ICO to choose or which coin will have such a value increase and why

Some coins can pump up to 10 times even if the project does not seem very promising thanks to pump groups but if you want to find projects that can go up so much then you need to find projects that are serious, that have good developers, that have a strong community, and that have a real use case, if a project has all of that then the chance it goes up 100 times is higher than if it did not had those characteristics.
