As we have seen in the past few weeks , the value of bitcoins has not drastically varied because of any positive or negative news.We have now , what I believe , reached a stagnation point, where the adoption of bitcoins by newcomers has actually slowed down. Just wait for the next hype cycle to swing around again. Given that we just had one (popped by MtGox becoming a 'victim of its own success') it'll be a little while. Having said that, there are a LOT of bullish traders on btc.sx at the moment.
My prediction? We'll see a flat market for a little while and then a rapid succession of price rallys.

Is anyone else thinking the next cycle will kick off sooner rather than later? 18,000 new registered members for Bitcointalk.org in April is understandable, but another 12,000 only partway through May is rather surprising. |

My thoughts exactly. I'm just not sure how long the market will remain flat. Days, weeks, or maybe even months? My best guess is 1-3 weeks. |
