1. Because it has been proven to work in facilitating the transfer of products 2. Because it has worked for 4.5 years, so it is building up a history of having worked reliably 3. Because it is working right now, so there is a legitimate expectation that it will continue to work

Excellent...
Another one: 1) You can transact on the internet without exposing any sensitive information whatsoever.
BTW, I like that you have colored-coins in there. One of my takeaways from the conference is that a lot of people really are viewing bitcoin as a new and fundamental protocol layer on top of which other protocols and services will be built. Colored coins and multisig underpin a lot of that potential.

Bitcoin is the first monetary system to credibly offer perfect information to all economic participants.

A great synopsis of many of the ideas presented and defended at the conference.
Thanks Rassah

Good idea, but at the moment it's mostly gibberish for the common people. If the goal is to convince the Average Joe, there should be more simple facts without technical terms. Sadly this might be quite difficult to achieve.

Convincing the non-average Joe is important too (e.g. educated people that just don't know anything about bitcoin).

Bitcoin Core developer [PGP] Warning: For most, coin loss is a larger risk than coin theft. A disk can die any time. Regularly back up your wallet through File → Backup Wallet to an external storage or the (encrypted!) cloud. Use a separate offline wallet for storing larger amounts.

I'm hoping they might follow the citation links. But yeah, it's a tad technical. The idea is to answer questions like, "It's only worth anything because people think it's worth anything, but there's nothing actually backing it." This list is why Bitcoin itself would be worth something, and be a huge contribution to the world, even if it had no value as money.

The one that just says "Cyprus" isn't very useful if you haven't been following world financial/political news, like the people I want to send this link to. Could you expand that one, and add some explanation? Thanks

Very nice. I tried to break it of course. One time it seemed to be very robust and willing to go forever (Cyprus * 8 at least). Another time it just stopped responding with no text in the window - not sure why.
Suggestion: put in a FB "like" or equivalent hooks to make it easy to get the word out to the Great Unwashed.
