Yesterday i opened a new margin position, sold 21 BTC. At that time i had 48 BTC in my margin wallet, 41 of them were free. Just after that I recieved notification about low margin, but decided to keep position, because I had enough money in my wallets. Today i have 178 BTC funding cost, for 21 BTC position - 847% per day!!!

I have "Maximum margin" limit set to 0.75% a day:

So now I have  -$428K in my balance.

Support doesn't answer.

How this could happen? What shold I do? Is Bitfinex trying to steal my money?

Quoting you so that your images are shown.

I honestly don't know of any possible explanation other than a error on their system.

Their whois records list +62 9963419 however I highly doubt it's actually a valid number or a number they would pick up.

Resolved or not, be careful of any fly-by-night offers you might receive by pm or offers to help resolve it via Skype.

When so many bitcoins are mentioned, you will attract just as many (if not more) unwanted attention from dishonest people on this platform. Some are calculating and manipulative fraudsters so be careful.

Some of these fraudsters think we were all born yesterday and even if they know you are intelligent enough to be doing margin trades, they will still try find ways to scam you, probably hoping you might fall for it.

This is just a friendly advisory and reminder to stay safe at all times.

Thank you, but it's not their phone number. It's their domain registrar's one (DYNAMIC NETWORK SERVICES, INC)

Resolved?
No, support didn't respond. I created ticket, sent email to support@bitfinex.com, but there's no reply from any source.

That's disappointing. I've seen a lot of recent complaints about missing withdrawals and support taking forever to respond. They put up a blog about the recent support delays, playing the "we are victims of our own success" card.

See: http://blog.bitfinex.com/announcements/bitfinex-support-concerns/

Quote
The past six months have been unlike anything we have ever experienced as cryptocurrencies have reached an unprecedented level of coverage. It took 5 years to handle 3 billion orders on Bitfinex – in the last 4 months alone, we have handled more than 1 billion orders.

A similar growth was seen in the number of customer inquiries sent to our Support Team. In the last 4 months we received about 50% of all customer support inquiries ever received.

Meanwhile, no one has been able to deposit fiat money on their exchange in nearly six months. Fishy? Never! Tongue

NO! Bitfinex is honest. They only manipulate the market, stealing funds and misleading. Smiley

Yes, they don't work with fiat since 7 months ago(and they won't because no bank will deal with Bitfinex) but their volumes are increasing.  It's nice to have bots at work(not only Bitfinex, we have to admit it)  Grin

Fishy? Never!  LOL   The sheep continue to use shit exchangers. The show is amazing.  Cheesy

WOah you've got $700k? You're filthy rich man, but no way bitfinex will never steal someone's money anymore after the hacking incident. Sarcasm*

Last week support at last resolved my issue. It was a technical problem. I flipped a long BTCUSD long position into a short position. Original funding cost in USD was applied to the new positions to the same amount but in BTC. Bitfinex resolved it more than fairly - they closed my short 21 BTC position at the price when I tried to close it manually ($3999.1). So they are definitely not stealers, but you have to wait for ages for reply from support.

Bitfinex are the biggest scam exchange, report them to feds

Read this and weep. BitFinex scam exchange caused this huge raise in March and it will be the undoing of the market. The correction will be dramatic.

You don't wonder why these cretins are not publishing their audit reports? Makes you wonder eh?
