Why is it showing as orphaned?

Is it because of the fork?

and 33000 is mined, not by me  Undecided

EDIT: That was the block, it looks like someone with a fair bit of hash power much have orphaned it. The 10BTC is going to wemineftc.com.

That guy's address is 6pFeathercoinSucksCBTuauhTGi8cdDCV.  Booooooo.

You should award it to the pool that found the orphan!

Do you get that kind of address randomly? Or is there a way of generating custom addresses?

Congratulations to all the miners for helping push FTC over the barrier.

EDIT: Bushstar, is there a way to see if all the nodes have been upgraded?

That is a neat trick. No wonder our difficulty is higher than expected. Someone with a hell of a lot of hashpower must have come on to orphan the the wemineltc.com block. I was wondering what people would do to thwart our efforts.

So it looks like weminftc.com did mine block 33,000 after all. Congratulations.

edit: fixed typo on wemineftc.com

Here is the message from their site. So 5BTC to the member and 5BTC to every member. I've sent them a message asking for addresses.

Quote
5/19/13 - FTC Bounty - The FTC developers are giving a bounty of up to 10BTC to finders of certain FTC blocks, YES, we will participate and pass the finders FTC address to them to receive the bounty. For the last 5BTC being rewarded for 33,000 we will be splitting up the reward to all pool members if our pool finds it. Read news for more details.

Still confused: Was it 5 or 10 BTC for block 33,000?

wemineftc.com says: "For the last 5BTC being rewarded for 33,000 we will be splitting up the reward to all pool members if our pool finds it."

wemineftc.com seems to think it's 5BTC for block 33,000 - and not 10BTC, no?

Strange thing: wemineftc.com does not even list block 33,000 in it's block stats page:
Code:

5BTC from original, 5BTC from the second generous donor because we beat the clock hitting 33000.

I read it as 5+5BTC = 10BTC that will be split evenly to all members that were mining at WeMineFTC for block 33000.  Or maybe the second 5BTC from the other donor was slated for just the miner.  Happy to let Bushstar sort that out.

The 33000 block isn't listed on there because it was orphaned, but we know the orphan block was from WeMineFTC and Bushstar has ruled that he'll be rewarding the WeMineFTC pool instead of some solo FTC hater.  Makes sense.

+1

I'd really like to see the equipment this hater has on hand!

Generating an address like 6pFeathercoinSucksCBTuauhTGi8cdDCV alone takes lots of computing resources. Let alone to create an orphan at the exact time block 33,000 was due.

Not even Alt-Coin hater Luke Jr. has such resources  Grin.

Hi guys, I wasnt around earlier but if I understand correctly we found the block and have been deemed the recpt of the bounty?  To those asking yes, the plan for the last block was to split it among the miners based on what they did to find the block.  It will use the regular pplns algorithm.

We will coordinate with Bushstar to get the bounty in FTC or if he wants to send it in BTC we will convert it to FTC.  We need to send it to the members as FTC for the obvious reason of the miners are setup with FTC addresses, not BTC addresses and it would be too complicated to get everyones BTC addresses, etc.  So we will just put it in the members accounts as FTC balance.

Correct on all accounts.  I knew it was 5BTC for certain so I put 5BTC in the news article to avoid confusion in case the speed goal wasnt hit.  The plan was to split the entire bounty (which now is confirmed to be 10BTC) to the entire pool as I said in the news (except for the 1BTC blocks which would have gone completely to the miner who found it.)

The fact it was an orphan block is why its not showing in the found block list.

Good job bushstar and FTC team.  Thank you and good job to our miners.  Job well done to all other FTC miners and pools on reaching the fork target block before the weekend!

9,940 Feathercoins have now been sent to WeTradeCoins to distribute half to the miner of block 33,000 and the rest between everyone who helped mine the block Smiley

We had planned on splitting the entire bounty for the last block to the entire pool.  Since this was your bounty contest if you would like us to give half to the finder and half to the pool then we will though, is that what you would like us to do?

Ok what we are going to do is give 1BTC to the finder, and split the rest among the pool.
