From my perspective, selling your bitcoins now is actually not a great idea, despite the value of bitcoin going down but this doesn't mean that you should panic and rush into selling your bitcoin. The value will always go up and down, that is how the market works. Besides, bitcoin has already proven that it has the potential of going further than this. Those who are cashing out now should think carefully about their decision.

Crash? Looks like an inevitable and more or less expected correction after such rise. Month ago there was another 'crash' when the price of bitcoin was half the current levels. There are no significant negative events, so I expect bitcoin to continue the upward trend.

Look at BTC potential market and market share today, and make your own estimation of market share in coming years, and a crash? Really? It's just some adjustment.

If you speculate the "crash" given that you are sure of yourself, it can be:
- You either benefit from it IF you can buy at the bottom and sell at the new top;
- Or you miss the train;

Risk-reward ratio is not interesting enough for me at least, so I hodl.

Yes, bitcoin lost couple hundreds of dollar during the day and gone under 4000$ point. But why should it be the reason for panic making with all this pictures, that ,actually, make scare only some newbies, who expect bull run of the price for bitcoin? I don't plan to even move from such kind of news. I am long term investor and I spend the biggest part of my coins for gambling, where the price in dollars doesn't play a role.

This is now the perfect opportunity to enter the market again. I mean for new investors as well, who are just lurking at the background and waiting for the moment. I think this is it. I'm also buying at this dip as I believed that bitcoin can go places in the near future.

Well, we  can't blame for those who are cashing it out right now. They should have cash it when $4500 but they didn't because they think that bitcoin can get to $5000. But with the panic today and the FUD waves coming along, those have no choice but to sell. But I'm pretty sure that bitcoin will recover soon and will hit $5000.

Bitcoin Cash is totally different kind of animal - so far it is a purely speculative coin with no real-life usage.
From what I know most of merchants and services which accept Bitcoin is not accepting Bitcoin cash.
BTC price started a downside correction from $900. The Price moved down and not is traded for ~$700
I think it we will have to wait a bit longer for BTC to break $1000 level.

I am always ready for the possible crash in bitcoin and i am not worry if there will be a crash because that is only a temporary situation in bitcoin and i am always for long term investment. If the crash will continue then i will just take advantage of it and buy a lot of cheaper bitcoins and add them to my hardware wallet for long term holding. By the way, i bought my bitcoins from the crash around 2,000 so i am not worried.

Fortunately, the Bitcoin community has a sizable part which have this conviction in mind. They don't really care if Bitcoin can go down as LOW AS ZERO because it could mean a bright opportunity to buy more Bitcoin. This is the big reason why there would be no bubbles with Bitcoin as there will always be corrections in price from time to time. This current dip is quite expected and soon Bitcoin can be back surging again. It happened in the past, it is happening right now and it can also happen in the future.

NO I will never sell all my bitcoins, even if I sell few to secure profit in day trading I quickly buy back bitcoin before going to bed.  Cheesy

When bitcoin will be over $100k I would like to hold atleast 10 of bitcoin so I am just buying bitcoin on every dip. Dump your coins to my sell order..... Wink

It's temporary, like the other crashes that happened in the past. You can always refer to the historical price of bitcoins and see for yourself that this is a normal occurrence and every after crashes you would see it boom again and reach new heights. That has been how bitcoins traded before and that will happen again. Just wait and see.
Nothing new in the history of bitcoins! It has been happening since the birth of bitcoins and after the dump, the price will reach new heights. If some people are afraid of loss, then they can sell out their bitcoins but I would like to stick with my ones. Actually, I can buy more bitcoins now. Yipee!!

Btc did not reached any new heights today!! what you are talking about !!! it should pass $4380+ to say it reached new heights . which it didn't .
The only point to cashout to is $4500 maybe even $5000 and the cashout is only to buy cheaper to make more money but if BTC is going down no one in the world can convince me to sell because I simply know for fact it will bounce back as it always do .

That's what we called spirit! Some are just speculating so that they can also get money from putting down bitcoin's name though they don't even know the future of it. The point here is that maybe they've lost a lot of money when they made a wrong decision in selling or in trading. The mere fact that it makes them frustrated and  having  emotional instability. I definitely agree that it will bounce back as always. Through the years, the situation is just normal for us members and who are willing to wait patiently on something that is to testify if you are truly consistent of your loyalty being a bitcoiner. So to those speculators, don't make yourself welcome in here if you can't control your emotion.

Actually, the initial post was referring to the dip we saw hours ago. (Following the $4,4k rally)

Anyway... with such title, I am sure we can revive this thread every time we reach new heights or at every following  dip...

Listen to this guy please, because we need more people to panic for the price to go much lower. The people who has been around for a long time, know what this means : Cheap Cheap Cheap Coins !!!!

The lower it goes, the more we can buy and the bigger our profits are when it goes up again. A mini dump/crash like this, usually indicate that a breakout is around the corner. This dump is not backed by any significant event, so it is pure market manipulation. < Sharks playing with the markets >

The lower it goes the longer it will take to go back up though. Also if people are fearful enough of Bitcoin then it would collapse due to no practical use. For example, if I had all the money in the world it would be useless. Since I'm the only one who has it, everyone else just neglects the system and uses something else.

I agree that the longer it takes that the lower it goes, the longer it takes to go back up but I wonder if bitcoin will ever go that low again? I think the lowest possible price for now when price really crashed as expected is just sub 1000$ or near 800$ no more, no less. If it will go down more, I am sure it will be pretty devastating for bitcoin but it will go back up again to 800$ since japan legalized bitcoin usage so it has real world use nowadays.

Well it's climbing to the $4300 point, where it faces some resistance. I think people are holding off till segwit is activated, and then they'll wait a few days to see if it is being used.

What crash, why do you people make panic again? This is really annoying me. Some correction in price happens and new dramatic posts appear on forum instantly. If you are new in bitcoin just inform yourself and research some information and analysis from the past, you will learn a lot. Just keep calm, price is on the way up again.

For those who are familiar with bitcoin, of course they are already ready for the crash and some doesn't even feel threatened about the crash because it is already expected to happen. Those who may be panicking would most likely be new to the crytoworld. But for me, I'm always ready whatever crash that comes along the way.
