I've been using mycelium since last year but stopped using it ever since i lost my phone. with things getting better now, i've bought a new phone and plans to transfer some funds on mycelium again but when i was downloading it, i saw tons of bad reviews. what can you say about this? is this true? got any problems you encountered? is it still trustable like it used to?

You can trust the wallet and it works fine. IMO the only issues are: lack of updates & you can't custom fees.
The dev team just burned people's investments from the ICO and haven't released any news regarding the new app. But regardless, I trust them and their software for now.

base in my own experience the apps is working without any issue and i think those who are posting reviews there are competitors. Because i was using mycelium for long a long time and i still never experience any issue.. According to other reviews they sent a wrong address that i think maybe their phone are affected with viruses and experience the same as when you copy the right address but when pasting the address was changing. if your phone is clean with antivirus your wallet is safe..

I see no problem with the wallet itself as how it is functioning I mean (or maybe to its previous version but minimal). Other sentiments, aside from what users said above, is the issue when you purchase Bitcoin at low price then it would be processed but along the way the price went up then the moment you had purchased Bitcoin at that specific price changed. Another is the partnership of Simplex which I don't know and didn't bother myself to research it at the moment.

They might be true, app problems do exist to random users. Most members here in the forum have good experiences and recommend this mobile wallet but I rarely use it (maybe twice or so, I'm more of using my desktop wallet). Recent reviews are really bothersome though especially those concerns about lost balances. Anyway, you should decide for yourself.

Most negative feedbacks written in there are because of their fee recommendation which they think was too high. It's only normal for them to recommend thatamount of fee since the blockchain was congested. I think most feedbacks from there are just not aware of that. I've been using mycelium foralmost 4 years now and I haven't encountered a single problem in it. It's safe and it's working properly but don't take my word for it. You should find a better wallet if you can't trust mycelium.

What do you mean with high fee? You can choose your own fee, and it can be as low as 1 sat/byte. About support, you are right that it's pratically nonexistent. But there is a community to help you in case something goes wrong, and there is not much a dev can do to help you if you make a mistake on your own.

Base on what i experience in mycelium they are not asking for higher fee you have an option to choose if you wanted to pay for low fee you need to choose low priority or economic but the speed is already caculated around 3 to 2 hours or if you wanted to default or high priority i still satisfied what the price fee given to me its not the same as fee before but now i think they already change the miners.. it will depends in you what miners fee you wanted to pay.. if you don't wanted to send high miners fee just choose the low priory or economic so that you can pay low.. I don't see any option that you can pay 1 sat/byte where honestly you see this option?

If you're on the latest version, just play with the two sliders... slide the top one all the way to the left (Low Priority)... then slide the bottom one all the way to the left (will probably say 0 sat/byte)... the 2nd from the left isn't tooo bad (9 sat/byte when writing this)... Have a play with the sliders to find the fee you want. I still don't understand why they don't just create a text box that you can simply type the fee into

I still don't understand why they don't just create a text box that you can simply type the fee into This is the feature that I'm waiting for which people can type manually for the fee, since the miner fee slider almost already have the numbers for fee and it seems too annoying sometimes from picking the exact fee. However I'm still using them they still the best wallet for me after all.

I was looking for wallet the same as mycelium that can manually enter fee but i couldn't trust any because of some reviews and other wallet are not well known to use for smart phone.. I stay using mycelium because this is trusted wallet even you are just using the dynamic fee but hope they could change or added the feature manual fee because most of the bitcoin users are looking for bitcoin wallet that they can fully control their miners fee..

Yeah there is that feature and also the feature to send custom transactions to multiple address to at once, these are the features I am waiting for a long time. At least the fee slider is something better than nothing.

I think most of this could be avoided simply by educating users properly. Fees are not based on wallets but a part of the Bitcoin network.

A noble idea... But good luck with that. Go read the "beginners and help" section of you want to get an idea of the "lowest common denominator" when dealing with crypto. All the information is freely available, but it's the same things over and over... And people who simply cannot grasp that the fees are NOT charged/collected by the wallet... But required to get miner's to include your transaction in a block. The number of "which wallet has the lowest fees?" threads is proof that people just don't "get it". Too many folks just don't want to take 5 minutes out of their life to read and educate themselves... But will then spend hours whining about how Bitcoin is isn't ready for the mainstream and is too complicated and "technical" when they screw something up and lose coins or transactions get stuck.

Most of the bad review seem to be from people who don't know how bitcoin works. For example, one gave 1 star commenting with ..this wallet says transaction will go through within 10 minutes, but it took 60+... there are online service delivering much more quality.. Other people complained about the not working feature, connecting mycelium with trezor. Im using mycelium myself. I think thats one of the best mobile wallets available for android. I don't see any option that you can pay 1 sat/byte where honestly you see this option?
Under "low prio" i have the option to choose between 0, 10 and 21 sat/byte fee.
