ETH Team is just stated that the forking would be at the latest late Sepetember,.... couple days from now and PoS ll be started.
You know where the price will go right?
 

First, increasing anonymity will come with new ‘zk-SNARKs,’ or Zero-knowledge proofs. Users will be able to perform anonymous transactions at higher levels than in the past.

Second, programming and smart contracts will be made far easier with the new upgrade, relieving some of the pressure on current programmers. Gas will also be adjusted for bill settling.

and indeed that topic transition from Proof of Work (POW) to Proof of Stake (POS) really like a raging fire but not yet to be implemented after a years,
will it be like the last time ?
another FUD will coming from nowhere and Price started to decline again,
and after Hard Fork ETH price will slowly recovering and moving upward ?

I dont think FUD will grow
but I expect someone (or many big/trader) would try to sort it,... if we just HODL or pump it then it will be quite interesting.

I dont think there will be FUD,
if I hold (big) miner or node or wallet then I would switch to fork-one,... it is better then current version and it will be ready for industry and mass-adoption,
I dont choose to take FUD excessively.

I mean the point:
- new ETH would be better;
- ready for mass-adoption;
- ETH Devs should tried it and it should be ready for it;
We just have to expect the price to go upward (sooner or later,.... or a bit by a bit or jumping).

It's commonly agreed that once Ethereum will move to Proof of Stake then there will be a Proof of Work fork (sort of an original, actually).

it is possible to see a big pump these days, i dare call it an exit pump for all the miners all the network and those with little mining farms who became whales on this coin. they will hype the news these days and milk it to make their exit on top with a good price.

but this is the end of mining ethereum and it will die, no more mining. all that investment down the toilet. most of users you see hyping ETH were mining it and wanted to dump at a higher price. now they will disappear.

and like all the pumps it will come long before the date (September?) and stop before it too and drop hard on that date.

If you are already live in crypto since ethereum was born in the crypto and you already seen ethereum got forked up to 5x but the DAO fork just only the one that gives the fork coin such as ETC to be born.
There are some reason for that. Not every fork will always be issued the new forked coin.

Half a year ago people might have believed in your words. But after the BTC fork, where everybody saw what happens during a fork of a well accepted, widespread coin, knows, that your words are nothing more than silly fud to create cheap fears. Yes: We will see a pump. But that will be the cause of greed, because people maybe hoping to get free coins like BCH. For true: the exclude of miners might hit themselves very, very hard. But for the network, it will be a big release! A step in the direction of more decentralization. Who wants to be controlled by greedy miners like BTC is? Noone. Switching to POS means: Every investor (coinholder) can profit. For that the server-farms, which are mining zounds of coins to manipulate the system for their own profits, are out of the game. They will loose. But every coinholder, every user of the ETH platform and the network will win. At the end: This will drive the price and not your fud to protect the manipulators of the system.
After the fork of ETH it will be like after the BTC fork:
A strong rise of the price.
Because at this point, people will comprehend, that fudsters like you told nothing else than shit before the fork, only to dump the price in order to collect cheap coins for profit.

I agree. There's very little chance that the fork will result in a new coin. I don't see any opposition to the fork, or any point to opposing it. This is not like the bitcoin / bitcoin cash split.

Be like "Saint Thomas" : waiting for the so promising PoS.
It seems that PoS is impossible with ETHEREUM because it a Turing complete system.
This PoS is yet 2 years late now : I'm waiting to see it... and very curious about that :-).

Yes ethereum will forking soon..and people will buy it because you will never be able to mine it again. It will goes to pos phase. People will lock their ethereum. Believer will make eth goes up but people which did not like pos coin will dump it and goes to bitcoin again..
