Hello, I read a lot but I'm still confused about the transfer of ER20 tokens to the Ledger Nano S.

Is it possible to transfer the private keys of ERC20 tokens to the Ledger Nano S without using MyEtherWallet or is the use of MyEtherwallet necessary?
Can't I just send the ERC20 tokens directly to the Ether wallet.

Thanks for your help!

Yes! You can!
I'm also using ledger nano s for ERC20 tokens. Connect your wallet to PC go to myetherwallet.com and press tab "send ether and tokens". After you will choose from the list ledger wallet
There you will see all ERC20 tokens
There are a lot of tutorials online. You can check them
Good luck

Yes, you Can? I know it will work with using myetherwallet website, but can I transfer tokens without using MEW?

No one seems to have an clear answer to this question, I googled and watch many youtube videos.

What I gathered so far is it should be possible to use the chrome ether app to receive ERC20 tokens directly in my ether wallet but I need MEW to send tokens and check the balance, correct?

To my denfense I have not received my ledger yet and need to try it out myself, probably.

Yes that's correct. mew is used only to view or send eth/erc20 tokens. it's perfectly safe to use mew with ledger/trezor, before you make any transaction you'll be asked to confirm the same on your hardware device/wallet.

why'd you choose nano s over trezor?
