Bitcoin Cash at 481608.

Bitcoin Core at 481614.

Implications of this happening?

Is Bitcoin Cash producing too many blocks?

It is the sum of the difficulties that matters, not the number of blocks.

Thank you for the clarification because I have read several amount of threads like this doing some speculations on how BCH will overtake BTC forgetting that another coin is also coming after the BCH itself in the next couple of months. But its so surprising that a member of that rank didn't know how to differentiate between unrelated variables.

How can that mean, that Bitcoin Core will be 'overtaken', when both chains are independent?

Bitcoin is not a bubble, it's the pin!

It's delusional fud. BCC is an altcoin. How can an altcoin takeover bitcoin? Not going to happen.

The block number is not of the import. It is just a label for a specific block. The BitcoinCash chain is a mirror of the Bitcoin chain, meaning the time they split, they have the same number of block mined. And then after the split, they became independent and as you can see they now have different number of blocks mined. Block number will not indicate who overtakes who, it is just an identifier for the specific block and that is all there is.

Comparing these chain lengths is like comparing bitcoin's chain length with litecoin.  Makes no sense.

If you liked this post buy me a beer.  Beers are quite cheap where I live!

It does make some sense because BTC and BCH are branches of the same chain. Litecoin is a completely different chain. Regardless, even if BCH did overtake BTC, there would be no technical ramifications because the two chains are incompatible.

I do not expect that to happen since they are both the same based on what I have been reading online, that the bitcoin cash only promises a cheaper transaction fee and faster transaction confirmation, except I’m not getting the info correctly.
