I typed a password into a TextEdit document (for an encrypted wallet) and later accidentally put the document in the trash and then emptied the trash. Any software recommendations where I could recover the TextEdit .rtf file?

I'm running MacOS.

Try a data recovery option.
If there's a lot. Shut down your computer, get the hard drive removed and send it off to be professionally recovered.

Else, there are a few open source programs that will allow you to do it yourself.
Here is a link of a list of some you can try: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893
