Its impossible to mine fast on CPU currently. To put you a perspective. CPU can mine with speed 1 GPU can mine with speed 10 ASIC can mine with speed 100 You never beath GPU with CPU, not talking about ASIC. Gap is too wide.

it's all depends on your hardware obviously, but it's not really fast if you compare it using GPU aka VGA or Others, For example : A CPU core can execute 4 32-bit instructions per clock (using a 128-bit SSE instruction) or 8 via AVX (256-Bit), whereas a GPU like the Radeon HD 5970 can execute 3200 32-bit instructions per clock (using its 3200 ALUs or shaders).
so based on this you should know how much the gap between both of them right ?
in conclusion,do not mining Bitcoin using CPU right now because it's no longer profitable, let alone CPU even GPU/VGA no longer profitable right now. so buy a miner if you want to mining Bitcoin such as ASIC,BITMAIN Ant Miner and Others

Don't waste your time, CPUs have long left the mining scene with Bitcoin. Is ASICs you want. But not even ASICs unless you have a lot of money to spend on hardware. It is also very risky in terms of investment.

Bitcoin is practically impossible to mine on a CPU. However, there are other coins, you can still mine Monero if you're on a pool for example.

The question is, how fast if Bitcoin mining is done with CPU?
Mining bitcoin with CPU is not a good idea because the primary device that you will be using is the GPU or graphics card because they have the capability to solve the math problems easier and faster so you can get your reward which is bitcoin faster enough than the CPU. It is also risky to use your CPU and it can damage the lifespan of your CPU because they are all maxed out when they are being used to mine bitcoin.

If you mine with CPU/GPU, you might never get a block at current time as the difficulty is rising with advance miners on mining.

Mining bitcoin with CPU became completely meaningless years ago, even using pools. I started mining in the first half of 2011 and even then solo mining with CPU was nearly impossible and mining pools became widespread. Now even GPU mining does not make sense.

Take a look at a calculator. https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc is a simple one A basic CPU may get you 2400 satoshi a day, maybe A top of the line GPU may get you 34000 satoshi a day (X10) An antminer S9 is 410,000 satoshi a day. You'll also notice the ASICs take up far less power. I do question the CPU result, I doubt it could keep up fast enough for a pool to even recognize it.

Please dont try to Mine with CPU. Last thing you want is melted Laptop/Desktop. Lot of heat is generated during mining. Also, Mining is no more profitable. So better buy bitcoin.

now , nobody use cpu to mining bitcoin because you waste 100000 years to mining 0.01 btc , good luck your idea. ASIC is best choice

Mining with CPU is outdated and I don't know if there is even a single alt-coin (reputed) available for CPU mining or not. Do not waste your time on those ads (you might see on Facebook mostly) claiming to give you some Bitcoins against your CPU GHz. Even cloud mining is no more profitable these days. Bitcoin mining is a serious business now and we should leave it for them who consider it in that way.

As above, you're around 8 years too late to mine competitively with a CPU. Other alt-coins are more suited to being CPU mined, but even then, GPUs are far more efficient. I would suggest GPU mining with NiceHash for a beginner (it automatically mines the most profitable currency, then trades it for btc), or just spend the cash you would've spent on the electricity and depreciation of hardware to buy whichever currency you like. Avoid Sterling though - hear that's going to tank with something called Brexit happening...

CPU Mining is definitely not profitable since logn time. The only way you can mine Bitcoin is with ASIC Hardware

Is there a difference in what type of CPU you use? like faster/slower CPUs with more or less pwr usage? does that make a difference in how fast you can mine?
