Buying at an appropriate amount is fine. Maybe just using some spare cash that you have won't be harmful actually. Most important is to learn about the game and be good at it. Buying is also not the only option be get it because you can earn it from many other methods.

What 'amount' are we actually talking about here? Is it 'the amount', which is the price? Or is it 'the amount', which is the quantity of it?

If it is the price then, it really would not hurt if you're going to invest in it for the right price and what I mean about this is that, you are going to buy that coin the specific time where its price is quite low. So when the time comes that its price pumped then you are going to have a profit. And I want to pinpoint that, if the price is low it is also quite good to buy as many as you can (quantity).

But if you are saying that it is the quantity itself then, no matter how much the cost is, your profit will depend on how many you have bought. But then again it is also going to be affected on what is the current price so keep an eye on that too.

Personally I keep buying whenever it is possible for me. Because my plan is holding bitcoin for long term, so it is normal that I keep buying and collecting bitcoin. The actual price seems a bit high, but it will be higher in the future surely.
Also I hold my earning from my works online for BTC, in addition with my bought bitcoins.

In my opinion, if the course is still growing, why should not we buy it? There is always a good time to buy. I do not understand people who have stopped buying. It is probably by doubt, but thanks to good work and a little luck you will definitely be able to get rich.

what you feel is a risk is not really true, that  is what everyone do when the price of bitcoin reach 5000 usd and keep buy bitcoin. if we based on analogy it is very high price but now the price touch 5600 usd so everyone who buy at 5000 usd keep growing profits.

Buying and selling become part of my daily actions recently. I trade bitcoin with fiat in a short term. I think this is the best practice nowadays since bitcoin price tend to rise day by day. We can grow our bitcoin and the value of our bitcoin will increase as well. Two benefits from one action.

Right now it's best to await the hardfork with the adding of free bitcoingold, after that I imagine most will sell some BTC because its allready now close to 6k $. So I will await untill then for some dump to see if it reaches around 3k $ to be able to buy some. But then again buying BTC now will also mean getting free BTCGold around 24th oktober which could add to 10% bonus but you'll have to be awake in those days to act fast to be among the first dumpers to get your money's worth. A bit risky, but could net you lots. I'll await the hardfork to see how it goes.

I also don't keep buying because the price is too high right now and I can't afford yet. Maybe some other time or if I have enough income I will buy for it. good thinking mate, let see first what the hard fork will bring us before we buy more, im just holding some btc inside my wallet and im not buying for a while since the value keeps on rising and i don't know if when the correction will happen before buying more btc and store it as a long term investment.
