If you don't own the address you sent your coins to, you must contact the owner of the address and explain the situation, then he needs to load the address in the appropriate wallet and return the balance to you.

He will do this if he wants to...

How do you know it was sent to a BCH address? Did you send it to a BCH address that you own? If so, you already have the private key, as private keys for BTC and BCH are the same.

Just take the private key from the BCH address and import or sweep it into a BTC wallet

Hello all,
thanks for your help
i did found back my BTC.
i made the process few times but i finally works.
the Story :
I sent BTC (bitcoins ) to a wallet using BCC (bitcoin cash).
the transaction was finally approved few hours after but i did not get my BTC on the BCC wallet (it is normal)
my wallet is a btc.com wallet which is from the blocktrail technology and it is very difficult to have the private key (because they are 2 : one on the server and one on your backup sheet and they are crypted and bip39 mnemonnic converted). it is a mess.
So after few days i used the recovery blocktrail site : https://recovery.blocktrail.com/. and they get back my BTC  Grin Grin

THE PROCESS:

get the backup pdf of the BCC wallet that you made at the initiation of your btc.com wallet.
it is a pdf which contain all the informations to get your wallet back if there is a crash.
go to the URL : https://recovery.blocktrail.com/ you get a html window:

choose wallet V3 option
click "import from backup"
click "upload backup pdf"
choose your BCC backup PDF file and open it (from your pc)
a window is open ; click to use this backup at the bottom of that window.
then fill your wallet password
then click next
then choose service provider and network (leave it as it is by default)
then click next
It is written :

"Discover Wallet Funds

Lets scan for Bitcoin funds to recover from addresses in the wallet. Please note this will take some time!"

click begin discovery
wait
then there is discovered balance : xxx BTC
if they find any BTC click recovery then paste the address of a BTC wallet that you want to receive the BTC. (do not do any mistake on it)
that 's all!!  Cheesy

FEW THOUGHTS:
the private key is the same for BCC and BTC so you can recover it.
it is a way that is ok for all blocktrail system.
i think you have to wait that the transaction is confirmed to do that
enjoy!
