Basically I bought 5$ ( 0.01774393 BTC ) worth of bitcoin before 2 years and now they are worth 73$ but here is the problem but since they are on my Bitcoin Core on my old PC it is downloading exteremely slowly ( Currently at 2 years 26 weeks left ) and a total of 33,7 GB.... I've got a pretty good laptop and good internet speed. Is there anyway I can transfer my wallet and download the blockchains here because it will be faster without having any problem? I don't use Bitcoin Core at all Its just that my money is there and it was a long time ago.  Smiley

This looks like the perfect solution for your problem:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transferring_coins_from_Bitcoin-Qt_to_Electrum

Basically, you'll have to sweep your old wallet into a new one. Recommended here for you is Electrum (which I also use) which is an SPV (simplified payment verification) wallet. This means it only connects to the nodes to get data, without downloading the blockchain. Your wallet balance is shown and updated almost instantly as long as you're connected.

Glad you got control of your coins back! Not sure what you meant by confirmation but that doesn't depend on your wallet as it relies on the network instead. Whether your wallet is open or not, once your txs are broadcasted, they stand a chance of being picked up by miners and included into blocks that they find. This is how your tx is entered into the blockchain. Every block after that containing your transaction adds a further confirmation.

You did give a lot information about what the previous wallet was like and what the deal was with that. I just want to say if you are downloading Bitcoin core again., make sure that you're not covering up your original wallet data. You could actually install two lightweight software wallet one on the laptop and one on the old PC never have to download the blockchain, and just sweep the old address and if you could just get the private key out of it.
