Dear Mt.Gox user,
As announced previously, our database was compromised and depending on how
difficult your password was, it may have been already cracked by malicious
individuals.
Some security tips:
- Never open any executable (.exe, .com) or archive file (.zip, .rar, .7z, etc)
you receive by email, even if it appears to be coming from us.
It is not.
- Never give your password on a site which is not secured (check your browser
window for the padlock, not the page), and make sure the domain of the
url ends with mtgox.com. Click the padlock to verify the certificate was
issued to Tibanne Co. Ltd.
If you were using the same password on Mt.Gox and other places (email, etc),
you should change this password as soon as possible if you haven't already done
so.
You can now enter the account recovery process on Mt.Gox to get access back to
your account by filling as much information as possible on this site:
https://claim.mtgox.com/Claim requests will be processed within a few hours at best. If you can't
provide enough information, we will contact you to ask for more details.
