I am trying to start a small software company that will develop adult/porn 3D interactive virtual reality programs for the new Oculus Rift VR headset. Right now the Oculus Rift is in development stage, but I need to raise 300 dollars which is the cost of the developers kit, which includes the VR headset. I'll be very thankful for your donations and will keep you up to date on the progress of our development. Hopefully we will have rendered porn into 3D and have it ready by the 2014 release date. You don't need the Oculus Rift right now to prototype or design your software. You would stand a much better chance of being taken seriously if you had a software demo completed first, mapping mouse and keyboard to show your expected experience, before asking for funds soliciting donations for a Rift. Adjusting your demo's renderer to handle the Rift should be a reasonably simple undertaking. I am trying to start a small software company that will develop adult/porn 3D interactive virtual reality programs for the new Oculus Rift VR headset.

Exactly my thoughts. The one thing that successful crowdfunding campaigns have in common is this: Either the person doing it already has a good reputation (Chris Roberts for example). Or they have something to show already, like finished assets and techdemos (like Embers of Caerus). Best case scenario: You have both in very good quality and get money thrown at you in the millions (Star Citizen). Also I am tempted to doubt that a newly founded startup will be able to deliver better quality than thriXXX or Illusion (which are both in the business of porn games for more than a decade now) which both no doubtedly will create games for the OR once it becomes truely big in terms of sold units to actual customers. |

Dont know if this is being kept up https://bitcoinstarter.com/But if you are raising funds I would think you either need to get a VC to buy part of your "company" or give things per donation "Kickstarter" Sounds like the best plan, it's either that or get a loan, the only downside is you have to work hard and honour your deal to pay it off so make sure you're realistic and start small. |

I'll be honest, I am totally new at this. I am a white American, 28 years old, living in Southeast Asia. I'm currently searching for Japanese/Korean programmers, but if I can't find any, I'll settle for local Southeast Asia programmers. I am looking for C++ programmers since that is what the Oculus Rift's engine runs on, as well as a 3D environmental graphic designer. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find a couple, at least. And like I said, you can email me and I'll add you to my list and keep you updated as to the latest developments. |
