Hi guys, I have been reading about this topic but I did not find anything maybe because its too obvious. Yesterday I have activated the 2FA in two different exchanger. I wrote down the back up key and its working good with the phone codes.

My question is, I just wanted to try the back up code for knowing how will be when I dont have the phone with me and in both exchanger the back up key does not work. Im writing this back up key in the same place where the code from the phone is introduced. What am i doing wrong??

Thank you.

If the code was displayed below the QR code, then you can use it add that account to your Google Authenticator again.

It's useful in case you lose your phone or it's damaged.

Thank you for the answer, but im not talking about the Secure private key is about the backup code. I have access to the account because the normal 2fa works with the phone correctly. The problem is that the code that is suppose to work as Back Up code to access the account without the phone does not work and this is disturbing. I dont know if im doing something wrong but this back up code is not accepted in Bittrex and Hitbtc(with different 2fa of course).
