Everyone is wondering why ICON's price did not increase after mainnet launch its because they have yet to release a wallet and an exchange of actual block chain tokens.  I am investor in ICON but the delay in releasing a working wallet does not encourage large investors who would other wise be forced to depend on holding their coins on an exchange.  Looking at what just happened to the japanese exchange you can see why leaving a large amount of money in the hands of an exchange is dangerous.  I have sub 20 million dollar market cap coins with great wallets that I use it baffles me that this has yet to be implemented.

Curious to explanation of lack of price jump after mainnet launch.  So is ICX available to all in S Korea now.  I was getting ready to buy, figuring I came in too late after the launch.  Now am a little nervous getting in after seeing no price jump.  Great project looks like a long term hold, but am I missing something that keeps the price stagnant?

Why would you want to pay @ a high price vs low price? Always due your diligence prior buying, If you believe in the team, buy and hold for long term.

Just look at NEO price, calculate difference in supply and that is a realistic price short term

Recent Neo price jump can be contributed to many ICO that runs on Neo, similar to Eth price jumps last summer when bunch of ICO from Ether. ICON capable of building many dapps/ICO, strong team with solid foundation, patient.

Unfortunately, my expectations about the ICON did not materialize. No, I was not disappointed in the project. Simply launching Mainnet has not significantly affected the price of the token. More precisely, after the news that mainnet is being transferred, the price of course fell, then after the release grew. But in general it remained in the same place. Perhaps the news about the mainnet has already been laid in the price that is now in ICON.

I guess that in this period many people are focusing more on bitcoin price, trying to understand where we're going, this could be the reason. Unfortunately January is always an unlucky month for the cryptos...

The total market cap stable, therefore, most coins price remain stable. Look for ICON value, not just price. Once many useful/powerful/value apps/ICOs runs on ICON, the price will follow value. Not mention the Decentralize exchange and interchain capabilities of ICON.

Not sure, ICON team will make announcement regarding which apps will be running on ICON platform. ICON is one of the team where they dont make announcement til something is solid, reliable and capable team!

I dont speculate, but fundamental should remain the same, that is price will eventually follow value, ICON is going to offer lots to society, we will find out more @ end of month)

I'm not in a hurry at all, I'm gonna hold my ICX for quite a long time, I really like and trust the project, so I don't care too much about the actual price, price that btw is beyond my expectations, so I can't complain at all

I believe that this coin will possible get to the 20$ by March, this coin will make one of the biggest coin with great potentials in 2018.

You must understand that much depends on the government of Korea. We have already made sure that the negative news strongly influences the price of the ICON. By capitalization, ICX reliably established itself in the top 20 coins. The coin is definitely one of the most promising for 2018 for long-term investment.

That's looking really unlikely now that the market as a whole is getting crushed.  Pretty sure its technically the 31st in Korea now, and if something was to get announced in this current market climate, I highly doubt it moves the needle.  I feel like mainnet has already been built into the price.  This will likely need some exchange listings to really boost it further IMO.

If one believes in ICON project for the long term, no, it might not affect the price much due the the market conditions, but its value actually increasing as more dapps building on top of the platform.
