The ICON Foundation is proud to announce that on July 2018, ICONLOOP (formerly theloop) was selected by IMCLOUD as the blockchain technology consultant for ‘Building the Next Generation Election System based on Intelligence Information Technology’, commenced by Korea National Information Society Agency (NIA) and supervised by Korea National Election Commission (NEC).

ICONLOOP is offering its expertise in constructing a blockchain-based voting and ballot counting system. This project aims at utilizing the core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including blockchain, artificial intelligence and big data.

Through close cooperation with the NEC and the NIA, ICONLOOP is exploring the application of blockchain technology throughout various election systems, including candidate registration, voting, and ballot counting. Additionally, ICONLOOP is presenting its blueprints to improve voters’ convenience, transparency, fairness, and privacy by utilizing blockchain in current remote election system for Korean nationals and voters residing abroad.

We are proud to be a part of designing the next generation election system to promote and improve democracy, which we recognize as an important issue. We expect to create yet another real-world use case for blockchain technology.

ICX has seen record all time high of over $12 at one point and now its market prices are $0.90 less than one dollar. It is of course buying opportunity and should not be left without being availed. But saying it is record increase and trying to hype the market is not good as general stance. ICX is surely on the boiling point once again to explode but this come back will be together with whole market.
