It takes Bitcoin years to years to have its price rocket to the moon. So if one day you wake up and a new token has taken the throne, what token you think it would be and why it become more efficient than Mr Big Old Fancy Bitcoin???

I don't think big boy Bitcoin is going anywhere, but if any coin did take over it counting off of market cap it would be ethereum because its got universal usage.

Right now the bitcoin communities are playing Game of Thrones. From the dominating House Bitcoin, a new Bitcoin "bastard" coin has emerged. By November, there will probably be more "bastard" coins will come into the existence and will start to race to the iron throne. This is going to get more confusing in times to come as in who is the legitimate heir to the throne. A new wealth will be created out of thin air. More new millionaire will be created. The troubles ahead.

The other houses are playing a different approach to the iron throne with better technology and tonnes of coins to compensate the bitcoin price per sat. If you value dollar to every sat value, it will always be bitcoin. Alt coins have to try harder, but the world has started looking at bitcoin with a lot of big guns have started talking about it openly.

... Meanwhile Ethereum with her dragons are slowly approaching the iron throne.

Here's the future, believe me or not, I don't care....its going to happen.

XTRABYTES has no POW, NO POS, NO ICO, NO Scalability issues AT ALL. NO security issues and is Quantum resistant FOREVER due to the unique way it signs nodes....due to this uniqueness its is no more hackable than an Orange.

XTRABYTES is a platform that is language AGNOSTIC, literally any software already in existence can plug into the ecosystem as long as a NODE accepts it.

XBY is the native currency of the system, no need for some stupid GAS or ETHER. lol This will create huge demand overtime for XBY.

APPS that are used and successful will share in profits so its a sustainable business model for a decentralised system.

XTRABYTES has a unique system that likely hundred, thousands of transactions can be made at once....very fast. Imagine the usefulness of that for companies distributing small amounts to thousands of users.

Truth is the NEW stuff people are talking about are simply ETH apps programmed in Solidity offering nothing more than money grabs even if no one ever uses their apps.

The rest are clones of coins with gimmicks attached or tokens. THERE IS NOTHING MUCH NEW IN CRYPTOSPACE!!!

I don't think a token or any cryptoasset class will overtake bitcoin. It is more likely be overtaken by another currency and the competition is on, which is why diversification is important and maybe putting a percentage of your profit outside crypto, maybe gold to diversify further. Who knows?

Lazy stuck in mud thinking to think BTC can't be beaten in market cap. Especially when we are such a new industry, its like saying PAINT is going to dominate graphic design for the next 100 years. lol

I can see XBY type platform overtaking as the multiplication affect of software using the same currency BUT I don't see that even if that happens as BTC losing its dominance even if not in market cap.

Bitcoin was designed as digital Gold...its was never supposed to be VISA. Ask Nick Szabo what he thinks AKA Satoshi.

The question of dominance based on market cap is pretty stupid, its like saying what is more dominant the Russian Ruble or the Yuan. Its more a question of which one is more stable, reputation etc not just market cap.

In my little knowledge, Bitcoin was created uniquely offering its own services in its own unique way. It's true some tokens perform faster transactions than Bitcoin but then again Bitcoins ability of secure transactions of no hack results is its main selling point. This day of a token over taking bitcoin in value might not come or it might take ages to come. It's true there's a lot of games going on in the Bitcoin community but only time will tell how it will all end.

It is unlikely that any cryptocurrency will dominate above bitcoin. Except that in the future someone will create an "explosive" project with its cryptocurrency!
