So I was surfing around my documents and found a 12-word recovery phase. I don't have or remember anything else.
I bought some coins long time ago and really can't remember any details, as of where and how...

Tried to recover the wallet with Exodus app, but it says the phrase is invalid.
Whats next?

are you sure is the correct word? or maybe you put it in wrong number. If you have exodus 12-word recovery phase, you have password. Or are you sure that from exodus? Maybe that 12-word from blockchain.info or another wallet.

Are you sure that you've used Exodus before? Maybe you used another wallet. If so, try to remember the wallet you've used before and try to import the phrase into it.

If btcrecover supports your wallet, you can try to use btcrecover too. It is an open source tool to recover your missing parts of phrase.

If you're getting "invalid phrase" then chances are that it isn't a BIP39 compatible mnemonic...

Try using an offline version of: https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/

If it also says "invalid" then you can be sure it isn't BIP39 seed... In which case, I'd guess that it was an Electrum mnemonic, as Electrum uses a slightly different method to generate/calculate mnemonic checksums to the BIP39 specification (even though it uses the same word list)...

Download Electrum, when setting up a new wallet select "I already have a seed" and try entering your 12 word mnemonic

Is that really your wallet seed or does it belong to someone else?
