pos mortem Poker Coin

when i was investing in this ''project'' i compared it with chips coin...oh man i was so wrong.... ( and yes, i was little greedy)

this project is perfect example in mismanagement... programer team without ''financial'' manager that know somthing how crypto work...
they worked on creating poker coin platform , and worked and worked and worked...it was 2long
they allowed mining all the time without any exchange to sell it..creating big bag coins nowhere to sell.... u just cant do this , 1 month is max or bether stop/pause the mining...
they claimed that yobit scamed them with listing..hm maybe yes...but why should yobit do it? ( it smell..), maybe is just simple nature, and they just hassle yobit with some ugly langue or so...
and they ''worked and worked''....0 or minimal comunity work....and listing on exchanges get more and more expensiv....they missed the train, every ''normal'' exchange was just 2expensiv...
and then first bit-z voting happened..or bether to say not happened ...P, because comunity was almost not exists ( at that moment)...and mining was producing more and more coins, nowhere to sell...( i asked them to lower the reward or stop it..but any reaction)
ah yes...they finished pokercoin platform....what a terrible misstake....because nobody was using it..and everyone know it/can check it.....
another bit-z voting happened...and i was wtf..170% needed votes in 10 hours....i know in that moment ...this isnt right , but..fuck it..we are going listed...oh oh oh..but boys in Bit-z wasnt stupid..they know it to..this voting was some bullshit trick...if u are going cheat with voting...omg do it so that  red flags dont lift on first spot in every exchange office....nuubs...
discord was filled with many fake account ( harvesting air drop rewards) ...real online accounts was max 15-20...community was dead at this moment...
and then coinscontrol exchange happened ( exit scamed at this moment), fake database trade volume, probably last atemt to pretend ''real'' interest to invest in this coin...no no no..at that moment all coins was mined...and only bag holders was in this project...nobody wanted to buy this crap...
and Zac left the team...i asked him why..but any answear...it can be nice if he can now say somthing....
this coin in this moment was still fixable....all what was needed was rebrand into some high POS coin ( pos are/was still hit of the day P ), or getting into some ''normal'' exchange with speculativ capital..but no..they just not listed...( probably at this point they was without money )
and finally last developer left in may...oh yes...we still waiting for that anounced android wallet ..lol...

at begining they was maybe really honest...but just naive...they was creating ''real'' product and ignored comunity building, exchange listening ,creating interest, and shilling god news..because that is how its works in crypto...yes at the end u can deliver real product, but its not smart to do it as first step..because everyone can then check performans on that product ...
do it as chips coin..they make it right, mining>comunity> exchange>comunity...and then work on produkt...
i invested in wrong project..at the end i lost 400 maybe 1500 usd... its about how i count it...
programer team without product/comunity manager is doomed to fail ( if luck dont strike P )

sorry for this text wall and for not so best english

R.I.P. poker coin

You left off this part: Faking volume on the one exchange they did get listed on. I still laugh at this, they bought my coins and expected me to give back the money! At least my energy cost mining it was paid for and I didn't lose a dime thanks to the dev team buying my coins by mistake!

I wasn't going to post this but I have a few people interested in developing this and a possible community takeover. I offered the developer (on Discord) a good deal to take over the github, block explorer and website but they never answered so we are considering a different direction: An modern ERC-20 POKER token which people who mined Scrypt POKER would get as a 1-to-1 coinswap. More on that later, first this gem which gives you some insight into how naive/stupid/scammy they were:

That my friends, shows the level of ineptitude from the dev team. For the record, I never gave them back the Bitcoin I made selling my coins. Its time for the community to take over this project and create something new from the ashes of the older.

So here is what I propose:
  • New POKER ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, suitable to be used in smart contract based casino dApps.
  • The new ERC-20 Poker would have the same total supply and we'd do a one-time 1-to-1 coinswap for those who mined or bought POKER.
  • Old Developer's coins would NOT be eligible for this swap or be frozen into a new development fund (ICO) for the new ERC-20 POKER or burnt.
    (Community would decide by vote.)
  • As the new ERC-20 POKER would bring an end to the Scrypt POKER mining the remainder of the un-mined total supply would placed into a proof-of-stake smart contract to reward holders of the new ERC-20 POKER.
  • Immediate listing on ERC-20 decentralized exchanges with an eye towards larger exchanges long term to provide greater liquidity.

  • Development of an ERC-20 POKER decentralized casino dApp.
  • Application to join Enterprise Ethereum Alliance once dApp is completed. (One member of my team has successfully helped another project join the EEA and could do it for us as well.)
  • Airdrops to crypto and poker influencers.
  • Marketing and conference presence.

Interested?

Ok, if you have been active in the Pokercoin Discord you will see that someone from Project Merge has reached out to us as an abandoned crypto community. They offer an interesting proposal, one which will give each and every one of us who still hold POKER a way out. I have thoroughly researched their project and find it a promising endeavor.

Rather than my team taking over the project and attempting to resurrect it with a coin swap, Merge would perform the coin swap and we all become part of Project Merge. You can read more about what they are about here: https://www.projectmerge.org/ecosystem

I personally think this is a great idea in that it gives people a way out which will not require the months it would take my team to successfully reboot POKER.

What do you all think? I've invited someone from Project Merge to this thread to further elaborate if you have any questions.

No one who bought or mined POKER should be left behind. Let's find a way to move forward together. If that means move on from POKER to Merge I'm good with that.

This is a good news! So there will be a coin or token swap? What is the ratio of the swap? If we can just use pokercoin in a poker site with corresponding dollar value, then everything of the project is fine.

Very good questions, someone from Merge will soon be here to answer some of that.

I will be glad to hear that soon. Hopefully the energy we spent on mining poker coin will be given value. By the way there are now several poker online that uses tokens. And hopefully the new pokercoin pokersite will not be so late when it comes to project like this.

I think if we were operating in Pokercoin Discord, we'll see that someone from Project Merge contacting project as a cryptographic community abandoned. And launched an interesting proposal, a proposal will give each and every one of us who remain POKER an outlet. Instead of a takeover group projects and trying to revive it with a currency swap, Merge will perform exchange of coins and all of us became part of Project Merge.

No developer here. I think this project is having problems with the legality of gambling. I mined this coin before. It is in my wallet. It is untouched and becoming worthless.
