stratum_subscribe timed out

Was trying to solo mine.
Seems like a common problem of different miner and coins.
Just getting the error.
Pinging 127.0.0.1 gives replies.

How can I solve it?

I know with my setup I have to tell miner extra nonce subscribe. Otherwise disconnects after block. But I'm using 2013 asic. Try once using /#xnsub after your URL see if that helps.

What coin? Did you check to see if ports are per dev announcement? Also have you tried localhost:port?
