Seems like the transaction fee has skyrocketed or something else is at fault. A week ago I transfered 0.1 mBTC with a 0.0023 mBTC transaction fee. It has zero confirmations for a week now. Another transaction with 0.07 mBTC transaction fee also hangs for days.

I know how to unstuck the transaction and resend but I think this will hurt Bitcoin adaption.

Will segwit help in the future or do we need other options to deal with transactions?

What was the transaction id?   Miners can include transactions or not depending on their fee policies, but without knowing the size of the transaction, whether it depends on unconfirmed outputs etc, it is hard to say whether it was rational or not.  (e.g. perhaps it will never confirm if its outputs will never confirm).

Segwit may (and probably will, but no guarantees) reduce fees.

We are having another all time high peak on the mempool size:

https://blockchain.info/en/charts/mempool-size?timespan=all

At this point, it's very safe to assume spam attacks are going on every now and them in the blockchain.
I suspect there will be a ton of spam come October in order to push the Jeff Garzik btc/segwit2x agenda.
Realize that BCash benefits from the chaos that segwit2x will cause, so expect higher fees by then. Hopefully segwit makes a positive impact.

Reading Reddit it seems most people face difficulties atm.

Even a new transaction I've started a few hours ago with maximum fee has zero confirmations. A bad time for Bitcoin, hope we'll recover soon.

I also think that there really is something fishy going on with bitcoins right now because i tried to transfer yesterday from one wallet to another but until now there are still no confirmations(0 confirmation). And i have been hearing a lot of people complaining about this problem too.

I think that the segwit may really help with both the speed and price of every transaction being made, but as we know, we can only guess and hope when it comes to bitcoins and other crypto currencies, so still, nothing is certain.

True, right now I haven't managed to send any coins for a week. Which is pretty bad for a currency. Let's hope it improves soon.

I don't know when it's unsafe to assume that, but yeah, this all time high peak can't be completely bereft of agenda. Not sure it's just as obvious as the big bad guys of forker camps, though. I wonder if it's too much coincidence that each time Bitcoin creeps under a threshold below a new ATH, it gets harder to confirm quickly and demand spikes. Prices climb back. I can't remember the last ATH without the mempool bloat.

You can resend it but you will pay higher fees on your transaction that is really a bad idea in these times.

You eventually need a SegWit Wallet/Address to benefit like lower transaction fees. SegWit will also minimize the transaction size but it takes time to get used to. On Segwitx2 fork, the changes are immediately visible because of bigger blocksize.
