Hi guys! I want to get into mining but not with super ultra rig with 12 GPU's but with mine own PC. Is it worth it in any way? Or is there a website on which I can type in my specs and see how much I will mine depending on the coin? My specs are:

i5-6600K CPU
GTX 1060 GPU

I want to mine low coins which might profit in the future. I appreciate any help you guys can provide, have a nice day!

Hey,

I have done my research and started experimenting in july with GPUs.
Don't mine with your CPU, it might be fun but not profitable.

You can have a look at something like nicehash to make things easy but you will not earn in the best way.

The last month the most profitable coin to mine for Nvidia cards IMHO is ZEC (ZCash) and mining that directly to a zcash wallet.

On flypool you get very frequent payouts and they don't charge much.
For just 1 GTX1060 you might get paid every other day 0.01 ZEC or so (that is 2.5 dollars).

Flypool is flypool.org

Easy to setup.

Get an account bittrex so you can exchange the ZEC for BTC and send them to your BTC wallet.
You can play a little, when the BTC drops in price the ZEC/BTC rate goes up a little which can give you 10% more on your ZECs.

Easy to use software is awesomeminer, that installs all necessary miner apps on your PC without you having to configure them.

Give it a try and let me know if you need more info.

You're asking this question in the wrong section. You need to post this in the Altcoin specific part of the forum, this area is for bitcoin discussion only. GPU mining bitcoin has been dead for a while now.

I hope you consider this different section and replied here. Actually this is mining section only he is have query to do GPU mining, if that is dead you could have when and why? Instead of that suggest him go try to best mining hardware to start with and get the hash rate in many numbers to find the profit.

Should've made the post in the altcoin mining section because you cant really mine BTC with your GPU, there are ASICs for that.
To answer the question though the best altcoin to mine with your GPU is most likely zcash you can use this site to determine that for yourself though: https://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency

Yup got it now, I know you can't mine BTC with GPU, thought you can post there any question connected with mining. I won't post there cause I think I got a answer that satisfies me. Thanks for the advice, I will definitely post in right section.
