in these kind of coins, for example a new ICO Rasputin Online, and would you believe in it potentional.
Not sure if the roadmap and white paper of given ICO brings something new to the industry. Just wondering

Most Adult coins don’t really have a huge success with their pumps and dumps. Usually when an Adult coin gets a pump the people in that coin get out at the right moment and the price goes down to the original value or slightly above the price that it was a year or so ago.
People don’t really use the Internet with Cryptocurrency and pay for Adult websites. The only potential for that type of thing would be to use a webcam service that the Cryptocurrency features though the people using that will find a method to get the service for free.

To be honest, I don't see the potential of this industry, especially investing in it. I don't see how useful it could be and what interesting things it could bring.

I don't know if adult coins will ever work. I think people just normally get porn for free if they like, and they are not that peaky. Maybe for a certain niche of market, like livecams services. People could share their work in a decentralized way and generate coins like that (while they do their show), and users can get access to their content by paying with the coin. The performers would get paid more, since they wouldn't have to share their profit, and could make better prices, thus reducing the livecam cost. I don't know if this makes any sense, but right now is the only way I can idealize an adult coin. I still don't think it would be that great though since it would be very specific. Also most people like to protect their privacy, so I don't see anyone spending that coin in an open manner.

I don't believe in these kind of projects, mainly because of the pumping and dumping and fake news/partnerships that are usually involved with them.

I think nearly all adult coin projects are just pump and dumps and they don't do anything other than profit for creators. There should be somekinda real world striptease house for these coins to work.

I have never found a successful adult-themed project, just now I check out the web interface and their live show is not good, it is not advisable to invest in this project.

There are big risks about ICO and scam coins. And in this niche there are more risks.
As you know adult niche is very risky and too much hacks around them.
I prefer to stay away from Adult Coins

What? I couldn't believe my eyes when adult coins really exist. What in the world? Anyhow,this really something new to me and to my surprised,you really know where to search or purchase such pornographic thingy if that's really the point there. if you create a coin (a real currency) and restrict it to only one usage, in my opinion you are just limiting your own project. that becomes a token so fast and loses the "currency" part as fast. and we are talking about competition, not just the act of creating the coin. it has to compete with existing currencies (fiat and bitcoin) and be used.

of course you can always create something call it a coin and put some ICO on top of it and make money, but what would be the point of that!

The problem with the adult industry under any conditions is that all porn can be viewed completely for free, thanks to PornHub. I listened to a documentary on Audible called "The Butterfly Effect" by Jon Ronson. It was all about how a teenager from Germany (Fabian Thylmann) took over the porn empire and is a multibillionaire now thanks to his invention of free porn sharing, much like Napster, but for porn. This has all but destroyed the porn industry, it is now struggling greatly.

The are a couple of caveats that could work, the first being custom-made porn for customers. The customer requests a specific fetish to be played out on video. That is the new wave of porn. The second could be an escort service, where anonymous coins are used to pay for live services.

When it comes to porn and crypto, the fundamentals just don't add up.

Adult sites do not have anything new to offer. The world itself is already saturated with porn and sex is easily on the streets nowadays. Nothing new! No innovation, except to dress and undress. Even here in Africa it is nothing special anymore to see nudity. The world needs something that can propel it in terms of advancement. For business sakes, I don't think investors will have the profit they seek by investing in it. And for morality sakes, I hope I am able to dictate such coins so I avoid them like a plague. Wasted venture!

It's the first time I've heard about these coins. I've never thought there will be any ICOs or Adult coins whatsoever. In general, I don't believe in this industry as something profitable and worth investing into.

I share your suspicion when it comes to adult related altcoins. The adult niche is quite a sketchy environment in general not to mention an adult cryptocurrency.
On the other hand however we all know there's is a big market when it comes to the adult industry so just because the envronment is pretty scammy doesn't mean an adult related coin can't succeed. It's just not my type of coin I want to be invested in. I would safely pass.

I don't really see a working business model there. I can see people use crypto for the payment in preference of privacy, but ICO? really? Collect money for what? all the content are already there and blockchain will not change anything there.
