For all the people who want bash bitcoins, they like to point out how bitcoins are used to buy drugs and other illegal things. One obvious exploitation of the anonymity of bitcoins is to bribe government officials. I was just wondering if anybody has managed to do this yet (please do not admit to doing this yourself Wink ) or if not, when you think it will first happen?

Apparently US Senators Chuck Schumer and Rand Paul have both heard of bitcoins, but what percent of politicians even know what they are yet?

I guess we should add this on the list to watch next to the first Bitcoin terrorist attack and the first Bitcoin kidnapping where the kidnappers demand BTC for ransom.

I can tell you that I was attacked by a DDoS once and the attacker demanded ransom in BTC to stop the attack which I found quite revolutionary.

This should be added to the Bitcoin Bounties.

Bribery is one of the more time-honored traditions of civilization, and certainly a valid metric for calculating the adoption rate.
