I'm very sorry if this has been asked before, but does the community + mods think that it would be a good idea to open/allow an ICO thread?

Maybe "thread" isn't the right nomenclature. But if you just look to the left you'll see that I'm a newbie.
You get merit points when someone likes your post enough to give you some. And for every 2 merit points you receive, you can send 1 merit point to someone else!

ICO stands for "Initial Coin Offering". When a company or organisation releases their coin, some of them decide to "premine" the coins they provide, which is mining a couple of hundreds of blocks privately so they can get some coins easily before everyone else. An ICO is where they sell these coins, to fund research/development (And maybe line their wallets)
