Hello, I'm struggling to get Armory to load correctly.
First received the BDM error when on version 0.93.3.
Updated to 0.96 then received "DB version mismatch. Use another dbdir!"
Deleted the database folder and restarted, then armory remains at Preparing Database (see screenshot here http://imgur.com/a/LVh5q). I've left it overnight and tried again this morning to no avail.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Armory, rescanned database, factory reset.

Any ideas?

And I have the log file but does it compromise my wallet or privacy if posted?

Thanks in advance.

0.96 or 0.96.1?? Get the latest version here: https://btcarmory.com/0.96.1-release/

Doesn't compromise the wallet... may compromise your privacy a tiny amount (it may contain your computer username in directory paths)...

why isn't the 0.96.1 version available at https://www.bitcoinarmory.com/download/
I've always been told to only download from the official armory site.

Because bitcoinarmory.com is no longer the "official" site... ATI is no longer responsible for Armory and hasn't been for over a year now.

The official site is now: https://btcarmory.com

It would probably be useful if the old site was taken down or a notice put up or a redirect put in... but I suspect it never happened because "reasons"... Undecided

Thanks. The 0.96.1 version doesn't seem to want to install so I'll try to sort that out, but here is the error log https://pastebin.com/aRLrMRac.

I don't own it and have no control over it. ATI wants to keep their brand alive, therefor they keep running this page, and search engines just see that.

Update: Got it to work

-the 0.96.1 Deb package failed to install so did it through command line using instructions on btcarmory.com
-it took a few times of restarting computer and armory because it kept getting stuck on scanning transactions (99% - 1 second left).

I have to start via command line as no icon available when I search, but it works.
Thanks.

I'm having the same problem as metal 5050 but in the Windows version  96.1.  It stays in Preparing Databases indefinitely.  All settings are standard--using Win10 Home.   I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no effect.  Tried all builds back to 93.3 but none work.   93.3 used to work but stopped a few weeks ago.
I can see bitcoin core running in the background and it is up to date.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks.

First of all, don't hijack someone else's thread with your own problems.

Secondly, please post your log files.

Delete the folder named databases in C:\Users\Josh\AppData\Roaming\Armory. Then restart Armory. You are using an old database which is confusing Armory. This will remove it and allow Armory to make the new databases.
