Hey guys, as some of you probably know, I was idiotic enough to click some links on this site that offered in browser mining which ultimately gave me a virus and posted some things under my name. After I thought I had quarantined the virus, they apparently stole my wallet info and I came back later today to see that my entire .18 worth of coins were stolen... I'm like 99% sure I can't get them back but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask but is there any way of getting this back? It's definitely a lesson learned...

Unless you're able to track down the person that stole them (which is highly unlikely), they're gone for good.

No need to be an ass, as for OP did you run a Java applet? Were your coins stolen from Mtgox? (your cookies targeted?)

I'm just glad I didn't have a lot of money in the wallet... After I discovered I had a virus I instantly encrypted my wallet (probably should've done that from the get go) but it was apparently too late.

I see you highlighted 'good'... maybe you're not familiar with that idiom? All I meant is that they are likely unrecoverable, because Bitcoin transactions are not reversible. Either way, I'm sorry to hear that they were stolen. Definitely make sure you've removed the virus and don't send anything else to those addresses.

Thanks for caring guys. Shit happens, at least I hadn't invested some hard earned cash into it yet. All that money was from mining only.

There isn't even any need to disable it, just don't allow it to run Java applets when it asks you.

Yeah, this is 100% human error on my end. My computer warned me and I brushed it off. If you don't know what you're running, don't run it... Luckily my AV caught it otherwise I would've probably never known what was happening.

I'm not a miner, so I don't know for sure. But, can't you create a paper wallet and then have the bitcoins that you mine sent straight to it? If so, that's what I would do if I was a miner. Makes it virtually impossible for your coins to get hacked and even if your computer gets stolen, your coins are safe.

You need to start following your address, was the wallet stolen? if so do you know your address? if so track those coins to their ultimate destination till the end of time., s
Sooner or later those coins will end up into a known address.

I'm assuming my wallet address was stolen. I can view the transaction out of my wallet into some random address which I did not do.

if it helps, my address is 194oEMpUh8TUMvok6fkBMgFT6j57FMAv2G and the coins went to 1Kx1QMEsuKVJwPB7zabeqZbVTP5Zfkgbby
If someone could tell me what to do from that, I'll gladly do it. Don't want to make other people do my work

What are the sources? can we see the pattern from where those coins were stolen?
we will need to monitor that address and wait till those coins start moving, follow the bloom of coins once they are spent.
If they land at a business with a known bitcoin address or an exchange we can track them to the perpetrator.
