BTC's difficulty is adjusted every two weeks so that a block can be solved in 10 minutes.  Is there a maximum change for a single 2 week period? The reason I ask is that after BCC I expected to see larger drop in difficulty to compensate for loss in hash rate.

Difficulty is adjusted every 2016 blocks. There's no difficulty change "cap" as far as I'm aware.
