BITCOIN 2013 Wow, what a blast !!!!
A lot of great people where in attendance and learned a lot. And I would like to send a big hello to everyone.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the
subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

supposedly the Foundation had the whole conference professionally videoed which they are compiling with the accompanying slides. Hopefully they'll release that soon.
