Ah, shameless advertising! Nonetheless, as of now the profitability is sitting at %1623.73. Though, with by now EVERYBODY knowing about how high the profitability is I'm expecting a massive difficulty jump as miners try to make 16x the money they'd make mining bitcoin.

The price is steadily rising which is a good thing! Very healthy buy/sells atm. I wouldn't dump with the following announcements planned in the next day or so. PWC will soon have a complete ecosystem to spend your coins on.

Finally, coinchoose.com updates the difficulty of PWC and shows you where the real profitability rate is.
PWC for now can only be traded on cryptsy.com, and most likely nowhere else, ever.

Sorry for the hiccup there. The Powercoin client crashed while I was sleeping and a combination of monit and a typo in my second watch dog script, failed to restart it. I fixed that and will also be adding code to make sure coins that aren't updated are removed until they update again.

Yeah, this was just a fluke situation based on the price at a new exchange with extremely low volume. You could make the litecoin price jump to 3300+% by selling 0.1 BTC for 0.1 LTC.

I am adding a filter on coinchoose tonight to make sure there is adequate volume there. Though, luckily a fluke price wil soon be taken advantage of.....

I have been debating a depth check for some time. Some people use my site to figure out where to exchange, so I suspect a blip like that would quickly be taken advantage of. Trying to balance the market forces vs. coding forces

Trying to balance the market forces vs. coding forces I think you need the filter so that your site can't be used as a propaganda tool. Two individuals working together could trick coinchoose into believing that the price was unreasonably high and drive the hashing power of their coin up. Just something that occurred to me after seeing the PWC profitability. It hadn't really come up until now, that I can remember.

The profitability is now at 49.42%. What do you expect after a difficulty jump from 0.08 to 1.62 (I've rounded those numbers).
