I applied to make my account verified 3 months ago, they still didn't do it. They never answer supoort tickets. People have problems with withdrawals from poloniex to other problems. I think poloniex will be turn into a shocking scam. Unfortunately.

They are understaffed. Apparently, the Poloniex management doesn't have the budget to pay for more personnel. They must be living on peanuts, LOLZ.

You'll have to rely on Poloniex's customer support, which means you have to rely on nothing.

It's good really though - it means that you can make the good decision not to trade on their shit exchange and go to somewhere like Bittrex that acts normally most of the time.
They are understaffed. Apparently, the Poloniex management doesn't have the budget to pay for more personnel. They must be living on peanuts, LOLZ.
Based on their current trading volume of $400,000,000 in the last 24 hours, they would be raking in $800,000 per day in revenue from their 0.2% fees (400000000 x 0.002 = 800000).

Before they become so terrible that many people moved to Bittrex, they had a trading volume of over a billion dollars per day.  You would have thought that pulling in over a million dollars per day for several months would lead them to start hiring just a few customer support staff, but no.  It's either about the worst incompetence in the world or it's a means of keeping their customers' money before they get verified to withdraw it (so that they can manipulate the market).

Currently few bitcoin exchanges have issues with this verification because load is too much and they have no enough support for checking this quickly but don't worry they will complete your verification soon I also have this issue and as I submit ticket they respond and verify my account in few days

Since the troll box has been removed, I have left the poloniex. Poloniex is not very good for beginners. I often get a profit there, but after that I lost everything. Terrible. Some people have different trade styles. I chose a slow but surviving method. Poloniex requires me to always be on the market, I do not fit there and I decided to get out.

Looks poloniex already turned again into the worst support and slow response, Please you can try to move in another exchange site such as bittrex, I got the same problem with you but my account still didn't get verified by the way. Or the polo team just wanna collecting our data and they try to put it into the frame, try alternative way it might be a good choice for you.

I have done it some months ago, and waited so long that I forgot about it. then suddenly I received information that it's passed.

It took, if I remember well, some thing like 2 months or so.

It's disastrous that they can not hire more people to do this.

Im currently using Bittrex and Bitmex as my two main exchanges. Im finding Bitmex pretty expensive so keen to look at Poloniex as another option for margin trading. Do you have any other suggestions for a good exchange for margin trading?

Poloniex support really have a bad images right now.  Until today, I think there are still lots of unresolved tickets in which some are pending for months now.

Anyhow if you want to start trading at Poloniex, you don't need verifications (except for usual IP detection via email). Verifications is for withdrawal limit purposes only and if the trade amount involved is not that much, you can stick for the basic limit for now.

I just heard that poloniex is also worst support or nearly the same as yobit exchange site.. and i think better to keep contacting them about your issue if there are still not confirm you account in 1 week better to moveon to other exchange site.. just like said bittrex is much more alternative that i think much safier than poloniex.. just don't forget to use the 2fa to be safe of your coins..
you can also try yobit i think they don't need the verification and you can instantly trade with them  but the support also worst the same as poloniex..

What's wrong with Bitmex? I've recently started trading there and I'm a big fan so far. Pretty thick order books, advanced order types, responsive support. I'm impressed so far.

What are you looking for, exactly? Poloniex operates out of the US and serves US customers without a license, and they only offer USDT (risk exposure to Bitfinex). Bitfinex is apparently starting to have a support backlog resembling Poloniex now, and they have been blacklisted by the fiat banking system since early this year (not a good sign if you ask me). Plus, the margin available on Bitfinex is pretty limited. There's Kraken, but it has terrible, glitchy trade engine.

The competition seemed to come down to Okcoin futures and Bitmex. Bitmex has better liquidity... and they just feel less scammy to me. I miss 1Broker's BTCUSD market; they are supposedly launching 1Fox to replace it by the end of Q3....

I like bitmex dont get be wrong just seeing what else is out there with less fees. I dont like bitfiniex and havent tried kraken yet. I dont like how bitmex charges you transaction fees every 8 hours if you leave the order open. Starts adding up if you leave it running for a few weeks. Also if you want to scalp small trades then its a waste of time because of the fees, you dont end up with much. Just wondering if there was something out there that was nearly as good but without the hefty fees.

Im having issues with Poloniex. I signed up 3 weeks ago and still havent had my account verified. I have contacted them and still nothing. I really want to trade on there exchange but want to make sure all the verification process has been accepted, anybody else had issues with this?

So you haven't yet deposited anything onto the site right? You just want to make sure that everything is in order with your account before you deposit anything? If yes, then i have to commend you for using your brains. A lot of people deposit a large amount blindly and when their account gets limited they can do very little.

Yes, this is a very very common issue with exchanges these days, approving verified user accounts. Poloniex in particular is absolutely disgustingly slow on the matter, i've seen people that have waited for months to just level up their account one tier to withdraw more on a daily basis.

Don't expect much from their support honestly. All you can do is submit some tickets, hope that they can get onto your account verification faster.

I wouldn't really recommend trading at poloniex right now, bittrex would be a much better option you are willing to get verified anyways. The fact is that getting verified on poloniex is really no guarantee for you to have no issues with their site, every single day there is always a new complaint about withdrawals and deposits. It's a headache if you ever get hit by that kind of issues.

But yes, this is a very common issue. They are an undermanned company, not sure why they still haven't gotten any new staff to do these easy jobs yet even though they're making tens of thousands of dollars off fees every single day. It is quite common for verification to go on for more than 1-2 months without responses.

All you can do is wait it out, or find another exchange that is much more reliable(kraken, bittrex, etc., you can do your own reserach).
