I like the EVGA Supernovas but they ran out so I got a Lepa and the wires are so cheap and crappy when compared to EVGA. What do you like and why?

I like the EVGA G2/P2 series because they use a single 12V rail and can deliver >99% of the rated power over the 12V line. Dual conversion PSU's, like the G2/P2 are the best because they convert the entire energy into a 12V single rail and then uses VRM to generate 5V and 3.3V. The cheaper PSU type converts using different taps in the transformer for each voltage and use the 5V line to regulate the voltage, instead of the 12V line like the dual conversion models. That causes voltage instability from not loading the 5V line.

lol yeah they are pretty loud.  You can swap out the mini turbine fans for more efficient quieter ones.

A quality high wattage ATX PSU also has a good resale value. Server PSU's are cheap for a reason. There is no consumer market for them other than mining.

Server power supplies with breakout boards that are 93% rated and kept under 80 percent load are not that loud.  I replaced all my 90% rated server supplies with the 93% and they are much less noisy.  I use the pico power supplies with a special built cable ( 6 pin to 8 pin ESP & barrel plug) that connects to the pico.  But if your looking to resell the PSU's when done then i prefer the Corsair I series because they monitor power usage (as I use 240v) quite easily. Once I know I have a stable rig, I convert it over to the 1200w server psu's.

i tend to agree on the server PSU simply because i have a few servers and with a just in case PSU to pop in it if needed! if your running your rigs in your bedroom?, then you might want to ask the lady of the house first what she prefers! lololol

Server PSUs are probably the best with proper breakout boards and dedicated PCIe power cables to each GPU, not splitting like you sometimes need to do with a consumer grade PSU. However, as has been pointed out they can at times get loud so for the consumer PSU I would vote for Corsair or EVGA.

Some of us have no plan to sell all the mining gear even if it is not profitable , probably i will sell most of the GPUs and keep mobo/riser/psu , i started mining with H97 anniversary and Evga 1300G2 , now i am selling my used combo for price higher than my initial investment and replacing with 13GPU board and 2.4KW platium PSU despite running only 7GPU rigs , with all my parts already ROI at least 6 months ago there is no point of selling server PSUs when this is over and the new parts make sure that i am better prepared if new GPU/Coin comes out .

Also remember that selling 10+ 1300G2 to non mining users is not an easy task.

If you can deal with the noise, server PSUs will always win because of value for money. Considering server PSUs are almost always 80+ Platinum, other consumer PSUs don't stand a chance when you want the fastest ROI.

It sounds like this isnt your first time around the mulberry bush. From what I have gathered there was another GPU shortage some time ago and that folks with mining hardware before it profited a great deal and those that held on to it when this new shortage came did too. Suggesting that if we wait long enough another booming coin will come along eventually. That's good thinking. I'm new at crypto, started in february learning all I can. Thanks for your input.

Evga and server is pretty good but. You failed to let me pick. Rose will quark 850 watt platinum truly a good psu for my riser free three card nvidia 1080 ti builds,

Corsair PSU's have been pretty good in the past, though BBT has reported having multiple bad Corsair AX series brand new PSU's.

They may be having quality control issues. A majority stake of Corsair was also recently sold off to an investment group.
