Looking at making a sound deadening enclosure / wind tunnel for antminer miners to be housed in a hot and humid garage. 10 total.

To keep the noise down as well as keep them as cool as possible.

The idea was to make a tall cabinet to act as a wind tunnel.

The air will be pulled in through two windows in the garage sucked through the bottom of the enclosure and then exhausted out of the top via a whole house type attic fan into the attic above the garage.  The CFM rating is 3500 on the exhaust fan via 12 inch duct.

Think this will work?

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Is the total volumetric output from the miners less than the 3500cfm of the exhaust duct?

yeah  those miners do about  225-240 cfm x 10 = 2250 - 2400

@ op  maybe it works   how cold will the intake air be?

and is your intake   big enough to allow at least 3000 cfm?

my advice would be run 5  in the case/enclosure

run the exhaust at 3500 cfm speed

and add one at a time till it either works or is too hot

Temp will get 85F on the hottest summer day.  The intake will be a 24" hole with filter.  I was thinking about an intake fan, but dont think that is necessary...?

Did you ever find out if the intake fan is necessary?  Just wondering as I'm doing a similar setup.

You need to design this correctly. What will be your size of enclosure? I'm pretty sure you will be needing an exhaust fan for this. Or else you will fry your miners

A commercial exhaust fan (axial direct drive wall mount) with 3500 cfm capacity has a 1/3HP motor and 20" blade. Installing a louver with filter, typical face velocity of exhaust louver is 500fpm (Feet per minute), you will be needing a 36" diameter equivalent duct size in order to pull 3500cfm of air outside the enclosure. If you install small duct, it will be noisy too. You also need to consider proper air change per hour for correct ventilation.

Just to give you and idea, a standard bathroom ceiling exhaust fan is only around 100cfm. Imagine 3500 cfm air volume.

You have to compute again your operational cost of your miners if you're still making money out of it.
