what you are missing is the fact that cryptocurrencies are considered high risk investments. specially when it comes to altcoins. and just because of that most people (even the richest of the rich) are looking for a less risky investment instead and stay away from the crypto currencies in general.

While I do agree with your views that bitcoin is the best assect I don't agree with the point that it's only for the rich, and not the poor, the rich can maybe buy it outright but the poor can earn it via doing jobs and there are so many ways to earn them. It's a wrong notion that rich people can only use them, it's a wrong belief, and it's sad that people actually believe it. Yes the government is getting into it, and soon there may be no free bitcoins world, but till we are able to enjoy it, let's do it.

It's not a good idea to treat cryptocurrencies as a good asset solely because they went up in value.  If you're trying to argue that they're a good asset, you have to provide genuine reasoning for it.

The more people that have your attitude, the less people there are that would regard it as a good asset when the value decreases.

High volatility is not usually a great thing for investments, as it could either make you a lot of money or blow up in your face.  You have to be really careful, and NEVER put all of your assets into one basket.

Definitely,crypto currencies especially bitcoin has given financial freedom to people by letting them out of the hands of government.People especially in developing countries are fed up of government laws implying very high taxes on one hand and not providing the basic facilities on the other hand.They are almost now free from government control but only until their respective governments legalize and regulate bitcoin.Until then,they could enjoy its benefits.
