Heh.  For 1 month used video cards?   99% of other people are marking UP their cards.  Mine are sticker value from NewEgg.  So, fuck off.  Jus' saying.

Not to mention who knows what the fuck is going to happen with BTC value once Mt. Gox reopens.

Why would anyone mark up their cards?  Is supply really getting that bad? Except for the 6990 I can get any of these from a couple of places.  Waterblocks et. al I'd obviously have to order.  If things are that bad in the boondocks then I hope ATI buys Satoshi something nice for Christmas because he has obviously delivered them some unexpected demand.

$0.26/KWh!! - crap on a cracker! Man that is rough.   Is that the residential rate? I'm less than a third of that.

Where you been?  Almost impossible to find 5830s, 5850s, and 5870s.    Anyways, not every card is at cost.  The 6950, 6970s are discounted.   I might lower the 6870 but probably not.  It has more value then just mining.  I'll more then likely just ebay them as people expect a lower price here because they aren't as fast miners.

Kylesaisgone was offering 130$ for a 6870 in another post which is just plain ridiculous.

And the power is residential rates.

I really don't comparison shop much.  I bought my 6990 on a whim about a month ago for $749 - I did have to order it about a week in advance but to be fair I also ordered a 70 lb printer and I'm pretty sure that took longer to source than the card.   NCIX seems to have 5830s and 5850s but at a significant premium to what you're offering.  I can't tell if this is their regular price or the result of problems sourcing the part.  Anywho I wasn't complaining at your prices just surprised because the GPU shortage hasn't hit Canada yet.

In fact considering that your shipping is reasonable - were in the market for another card I'd probably buy from you just to take the advantage that CDN is holding over USD.

But right now I'm trying to keep it down to two rigs and I'm having trouble getting my NVidia cards (which I use for folding) and my ATI cards (which I use for hashing tasks) all in just two boxes.   Maybe if Stanford releases a folding client for ATI with decent performance I'll scrap all the GTX's. :-)

A brand new 6870 on newegg is $185 with a $20 MIR and 2 free games

Or $175 if you dont want to deal with rebate hassle.

You're asking beyond NEW prices on nearly all of that hardware.

I'm on oahu myself and sold a 6870 locally in 4 hours with craigslist for $170.  Youre going to sit on that card for months easily over $30?  Your choice I suppose.

You say who knows what will happen to bitcoin after the next jump?  Mining for profit will die, you're not even offering to ship item immediately because you KNOW this is the last 2 days of reasonable mining.  Even if BTC tripled in price overnight tomorrow I still wouldn't mine because it STILL wouldn't be as profitable as it was ~ 20 days ago.  I started mining at 430k diff and $28 a coin. . . who the fuck will pay a premium for mining cards at $15 a coin and 1.4m diff?

Your arrogance and ignorance is just adding to the reasons I hate this god-forsaken state. . . Can't wait to get out of hawaii!

Indeed these prices are way beyond new prices.

Ie. 6950s cost under 180€ here new, and he's asking ~211€ for used card.

Shame, cut those prices by 40% (to sane used value) and i might take a whole bunch, despite the shipping!

Can you find a reference 2 GB 6950 that unlocks to a 6970 for that price?

You are a scrub.  The MIR are limited to 1 quantity.  So I could possibly have gotten a single 6870 for 185.  But guess what, I haven't gotten the rebates yet.  So, 199$ is what I paid and what I'm offered.  You are welcome to single out the 6870 as being a bit high, I expected as much as it's a gaming card and less a mining card.

Where did I ever say I would sit on the card?  I'm going to EBAY them if I don't get any offers here.  You are complaining about mining not being profitable when you pay .26cents a kilowatt.  It's STILL profitable after the next increase for me.  That means people that pay .05-08 have a LONG WAY TO GO.

Your stupidity makes me laugh, get the fuck off Hawaii if you hate it so much.  I'm more then willing to adjust my prices but pissing me off doesn't help.  I'd sooner sell it on ebay, take a loss, and pay the fees then deal with your disrespect.

Hell, we have no idea where bitcoins is going to end up after mt. gox comes up and I'm offering an escape for those that want it.   And fairly reasonable prices.  Maybe the 6870 is overpriced, but that seems to be the only one and you are whining about it.

Here 1gb 6950s (the unlockable ones) go for just under 200 euros, reference ones 220 (99% of those can be unlocked). You are asking for 225 euros (including shipping) at current BTC price. just sayin'...

There's only about 5 items you're selling below new price, 0 at a reasonable price.

You must be pretty new to the internet if you think the 6870 is your only overpriced item.

And believe me, i'd leave if I could, wasn't my choice to come here.  This is the most disgusting state I've ever lived in.  The whole island of oahu is pretty similar to colfax street in denver.  Google it.

And so it begins ...

Recent miners hurrying to sell their rigs before mining becomes unprofitable given exponentially increasing difficulty and perhaps less exponentially increasing bitcoin value.

What goes first?  The 6990 space heaters?

I also believe he's overpriced.

I ran the numbers for the most tempting of the items, and came up with a 53 day payoff period, best-case scenario (no further difficulty increases after tomorrow morning's)

The 5850 gets 358 MH/s which is 0.37 BTC/day now.

But in about 24 hours, that's going to be cut to 0.244 BTC/day.

Assuming a $17 bitcoin (which is above the current market price), that's $4.15 a day.

But I don't live with Mom, so I have to subtract 4.5 kW/h for electricity, which (@ 8.8c per kWh) equals 0.40.

So I would make $3.75 a day with the card, assuming NO FURTHER DIFFICULTY INCREASES (yeah right!)

53 days to payoff.

That's too much. Maybe if my existing rigs were paid for I'd go for it -- but I gotta pay them off first. I don't want to be too far under water.

Moral of the story: The guy is selling his 5850 for what he paid! Yes, it's in great condition, but it's used! And he's not NewEgg! He's preying on the last remaining (foolish) miners who are actually trying to start out/expand in the current situation where it doesn't make sense to expand.

Personally, I haven't expanded during this last difficulty. This is the first difficulty that I've watched in horror as the total network went up by 50%, yet I didn't contribute to ANY of that. I don't think it's a bunch of individuals -- most of it is probably the Big Boys.

In some ways this Hawaiian is the lucky one. He's getting out before "the stampede" so he might just find a few suckers to pay top dollar for his video cards. In a couple weeks, top dollars *won't be possible*.

Oh, and needless to say, the 6XXX cards are a much worse deal. I picked the best of his cards to run the numbers on.

I hope he doesn't find any suckers. But he probably will.

Wow, so much hate!  If you don't like his prices, send him an offer, don't QQ like a child (unless you are one)!   Roll Eyes

OP, your prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other selling-for-btc posts I've seen here recently.  There are a few that I would rather buy retail (like the 6870), but the 5850's a great deal, the 5870 is a decent deal, and the 6950 is definitely a good deal (can't find the reference v1 cards anymore, and already flashed is a bonus).
